We have already heard about the fish rationing in Kamchatka, where fish is abundant, but expensive.
Then on 12 December, it was announced that food ration cards will be introduced in a second province, Kaliningrad, in 2025.
Now, a senator in the Duma has declared the scheme is to be introduced across all of Russia. So the scheme is being rolled out then. Apparently, the scheme has been warmly welcomed by the national newspapers. Save the poor Russians from going hungry. Hooray !

But then it gets darker. Konstantin puts forward the idea that the state is making the Russian people poor - on purpose - and then introducing food cards to control the
distribution of food to the people. Behave and you will eat. Misbehave and you will starve.

Interesting listen although presentation is a bit slow & you need a wet afternoon to take it all in. I have now looked for other of his videos. I am amazed he hasn't already found himself arrested, going to have to be really careful when the new treason laws come into effect.

The last time I heard, he was in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, so presumably is safe-ish. He can be a bit slow can't he? But his theories are well considered.
The food cards (=rations) are coming. Whether the intention is to use them to control the people is another question....

Russias main long range strategic bomber base Olenya is in Murmansk area.

Hopefully Ukraine has taken a few bombers off the chessboard?

I'm not sure I would want to test that out.

It only takes a trumped up charge and he could be convicted and sentenced to years in a Siberian penal colony, never to be seen again.

I feel that he's risking his life for basically no reward.

I think the best thing a journalist can do is constantly push the West to support Ukraine, because it will save us lives and money in the long run.

He's one of the few spends from my license fee that I'm happy about.

Here's a bit from Rosenberg on why he thinks he's permitted to stay (18 months old). I think his questions have pushed the boundary more since then, so I'd judge he's more at risk than before.
He's been there 20 odd years... probably feels like home.
