I'm not sure if this has been posted before or not?

"20 days in Mariupol".

Was in art house cinemas this year, now released on YT. Its a "buy" item if you search directly in YT, though its been uploaded for free by another production company.

It's all about a small team of associated press journalists that were in Mariupol for those first 20 days of Russias attack on the city, nearly all of the pictures and TV news stories we saw in western media were from this brave team.

Wife was in tears obvs, and it also shows contrast of Russia state TV claiming its all staged or Ukraine doing it to themselves.

I will watch it thanks. I think I've seen some excerpts from it (I forget where) but not the whole film.
Heavy snow storm in parts of Ukraine today.

Nearly everything youre seeing being filmed in real time in the documentary, was on all western news outlets not long after in the first days of war.

Its good that society sees it that way, but the chancellory is held hostage by a scared coward who harks for a return to the old order and is terrified of the unknowns in a Ukraine victory/Russian defeat.

His coalition partners in the Greens and FDP both want more help to Ukraine. Scholz is the problem
The 'scared coward' rather did a U-turn with his he Zeitenwende speech, did he not? Boosting the German military spending up to the required NATO standard (which they hadn't done before) and sending money and arms to Ukraine.
In an emergency meeting of the Bundestag on 27 February, Scholz made the Zeitenwende speech, announcing a complete reversal of German military and foreign policy, including the commencement of weapons shipments to Ukraine and a 100 billion euro increase in Germany's defence budget.[121] One reporter called it a path to "an emergency military modernisation, defence spending, energy independence from Russia, lethal assistance for Ukraine and EU financing for weaponry."

Zeitenwende was a lot of talk over a year ago, much of which has been reneged on. Ive got a very frustrated friend who is a think tank/policy expert in Germany.

Germany has given a fair bit in financial terms, but always a long time after its first needed and they refuse to give most of what is required and could tip the battlefield, always with ridiclous excuses.

Scholz and the SDP are the issue.

Yes, he seems to prefer the 'stability' afforded by a murdering, expansionist dictator.

Missed this one 😆or😭
..... and to think that some people actually believe that the far right has a monopoly of all the nutters! Be interesting to know when this clip was recorded (if indeed it's real, and not a bit of clever AI, which TBH wouldn't surprise me) - was it before the war started or after? Whatever though, it's still twaddle. How's David Icke these days?

True , Millions that have previously expressed opinions have been imprisoned or liquidated , many will take this into consideration
I know you are right 👍. My reactions are partly based on the post higher up (@Eric the meek ?) , about the Russians who've escaped to Georgia to avoid conscription. Yes, the intimidation and measures against any protest would deter the vast majority. So we'll never know the true situation.

That's ok then - I'm sure we can all trust Russia:
"
  • Moscow does not have plans to expand its territory any farther in Europe, the Russian foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, insisted in response to remarks by the US defence secretary last week that Putin would not stop at Ukraine if he was victorious.

Mate. That Lavrov is a man of his word. If he says that, it's good enough for me.
