Reasons Bloom should give Poyet the SACK

Dunk and, to a lesser extent, CMS have let down the manager today. I think this result will scar Gus in the same way the Liverpool 6-1 has done, and a few players' cards will now be marked.

The bottom line is we're in reasonable shape apart from the glaring absence of a decent target man striker. Warren Aspinall was dead certain we'd be filling that gap in the next transfer window - our season will depend on it.

Who do you support Withdean Wanderer? Because it certainly isn't the Albion.

The only time i see you post anything is when things go badly for us so assume you are either a troll or a palace fan with nothing better to do in your free time.

Its got real boring now and imo its time for you to move onto pastures new and find someone else to be the focus of all your negative crap on.

Withdeanwanderer = Withdean Wanker, f*** of and do one, probably wasn't even at Palace today!

Probably in with the home fans as i get the impression he's really a palace fan because he only ever posts when we lose / on a bad run and he hardly ever posted when we were doing well or on a good run. He's just another sad internet troll who is best ignored imo.

Some of the points the OP makes are completely valid. The main thing I beleive that isnt commented on too much on here is our complete and utter failure to win the "big games", i.e. derby's, top of the table games etc. It seems the style of football continously lets us down in these types of games that tend to be of a faster pace. We try to dictate the pace of the game and worry about the opposition too much and in turn that leads to stupid mistakes and sendings off.

My main problem with Gus is the complete and utter shambles in letting Murray go. Not giving him financial comparity to CMS was the biggest mistake he has made. Like the OP says the problems we see upfront have gone on for 2-3 years. We have never been able to finish a penalty since Forster left and Barnes has always needed 3/4 chances to score. ALWAYS. We play with one striker who has built a reputation of playing over the top for stevenage and peterborough, two very direct, attacking teams and he has also played alongside someone in both those teams. With a striker who could link the play a bit better (ala Murray), we would be top two.

One thing I would say is Gus should NOT be sacked and the day he is sacked with us in the championship is the day I cancel the season ticket I have bought for some years. He has completely transformed the club from top to bottom. I think sometimes we make out the squad to be better than it is, the football Gus gets us to play in my opinion is beyond the quality of players like Greer and Barnes and simply put I beleive we are 2-3 quality players away from the Premiership. I dont understand the urge and rush to get to the prem. We are in a very competitive league and have a great basis from which to build for the next 3-4 seasons.

Good post GF. A couple of howler mistakes in one game does not mean we are shit, and it does not mean our season is over.

A troll, or someone simply trying to add another view to the debate?

I think we've all made at least some of the same points WW raised in conversation with our mates but its pointless listing all of the negatives after a painful defeat because it's just not balanced.

Gus has made mistakes but he's got a lot more right than wrong which is why we're an established top 10 Championship side. Buckley, Bruno, Bridge, Kusczak, Bridcutt, Vicente, Orlandi, Greer all good players, a decent passing style nowpart of the team's DNA. Crofts and Hammond will settle and a couple of decent window signings will keep things moving forward.

Totally agree! i feel we should be treating ALL games with the same mentality, played a blinder against Bolton (my opinion, no one shoot me!) and then play a total poop game with Bristol, although 2 goals up! If they play with full intentions on every game, opposing side will be wary, every game!

They were the first 4 managers who popped into my head.

One of them is the reigning Champion of Europe for Christ sake. I don't think he'd come, but please don't try to claim that I'm foolish for suggesting he'd do a good job for us.

I think this is the comment that proves that you know f*** all about football and should probably take up moaning about another sport (if you do please do it somewhere else). Either that or you are a highly successful wind up merchant. If this is the case I doff my hat to you for playing the worst kind of miserable, negative, dour and destructive football fan to a tee.

You're foolish.

You want to replace someone who signed midfield players and did not replace a tall centre forward with the man who let Drogba go and signed Oscar, Hazard and Moses.

Yup, on the ball as always.

....and then lost his job.

You've no idea what our board thinks. I understand Blooms thoroughly pissed off at what he's seeing, and I'm not surprised given what Poyet's spent.

Putting to one side all the other bollocks you've posted in this thread - how come you can accuse another poster of not knowing what the board thinks and then claim YOU know what Bloom thinks. I'd suggest Bloom would never reveal his thinking to such a moronic wanker as you !

Right after a night to stew on a very disappointing day, I do firmly believe Gus is the man to take us forward..............but, he needs to seriously think about mixing things up.
We were second best to everything yesterday, even if Dunk had stayed on the field yesterday we'd have still got beaten. We just didn't seem to want it.

CMS isn't up to it, he tries hard but with very little end product, with the chances he's had so far this season he should be the leagues top scorer.

Our defence is good, but for gods sake Gus tell us the truth, if Bridge and El Abd are injured tell us, don't give us a load of bullshit telling us that they are fit and ready to go, when Bridge himself told our fans that he was injured.

The Midfield, well I don't know it seems like we have about 30 players vying for 5 places, not good for morale or for a settled team.
Gus' attitude sometimes pisses me off, his whole attitude to this game stank, whether he likes it or not, Palace are our rivals and he should be getting the players up for it. I have heard whispers that his man management skills aren't the best, maybe this explains it.
All in all I would hope that we will see some big changes in January, if we don't, then perhaps, it may be time for a change.
For all the people who may worry about getting anyone decent in, we are a VERY different club to the one Gus took over at, we are a VERY attractive proposition for any future manager and I would have full confidence that Bloom would get the right man in.

Like I said Poyet should stay and I sincerely hope he does well, he did a fantastic job getting us promoted and he's done a reasonable job since we've been in the championship but I honestly believe we could be doing even better.

Why, why do i HAVE to suggest names. That would be down to the chairman.

Because YOU'RE the one suggesting there's plenty of better managers out there willing to come here, not Tony Bloom. So being realistic - who are these better managers that would be willing to come here ?

That's the one and people fall for it time & time again.
