Sydney is like any other city, lots of immigrants, some illegal and plenty of crime. they have the same problems we do but with people from different races

Most people just want to make better lives for themselves and their kids, wherever they're from and whoever they are. And pay their way. And the age-old 'letting all these refugees in, taking our jobs, shagging our women' crap sounds as lame now as it ever did. I mean, have you seen the SIZE of Australia? You could give each and every refugee a thousand acres for free and there'd be more than enough to go around FFS.

well my wife and her Family are Aussies, my Gran has lived there since '59, its just my observation based on my experiences.

having said that we live in an area which has a vast majority of English white people in it so its not an issue I think about very often

I think that's a little OTT. It's not that bad. There is racism in Australia, but let's not go over the top. These riots have come a few years after the same thing happened in the UK so I wouldn't judge this country. The difference is that it looks a bit strange having pitch battles in glorious sunshine on big sandy beaches!
