talented and all that he is - I am not for one moment disappointed that he switched international allegiance from Ireland to England.

I hate the fella, don’t get me wrong, his antics are awful and his behaviour off the field is unbelievably bad but I’d have him in our team in a heartbeat and he’d be in my England starting XI every game over some of the dullards Southgate adores. Each to their own.

I could live with the antics and the behaviour - but he shows all the signs of a selfish, nasty piece of work and in my view will disrupt any team he plays in to the point that people won't want to play with him and won't make the effort when he is on the pitch with him. If he joins one of the top four I think he will be found out because he will no longer be a big fish in a small pond.

Arsenals youngsters look annoyingly keen to play football.

Arsenal 1 up and playing well. Trust our luck if they find some form.
Need Chelsea to really turn it on in the 2nd half- they'll be so demoralised.

Tierney initiates the contact, James didn’t even make a movement with his foot.

The amount of penalties in football is getting rather silly, some would say that’s ‘clever’ but for me that’s cheating.

No contact with Tierney. Neville called it correctly.

What IS the point of VAR?

I have no idea what VAR Referees are seeing, even the one in the earlier game, VAR sent the ref to the monitor before he stuck with his original decision.

VAR is all about the money - the money has such a paramount position now that the fans and the atmosphere at a game don't count anymore. Score a goal, wait two minutes before you celebrate because you have to wait for VAR. It will ultimately ruin the game unless it is scrapped. The fact that the fans are not at games at the moment has given the football elites an ideal opportunity to get it embedded.
