Whilst I agree with the premise, we are proof enough that being too nice doesn’t get you anywhere, the South American teams are entirely full of Grealish type divers and the top European nations aren’t much better either.
Grealish is ultimately England’s best midfield, regardless of what a total utter scumbag he is, unfortunately.
