I'm soooooo confused. Can someone explain this to a simpleton? I get that if Liverpool win, it will free up another spot for the Conference League. But how does Newcastle winning affect things?
If Newcastle win and we finish ahead of them they could take Conference League spot.
And if Villa or Fulham etc win FA Cup and finish behind us, then only top 6 spaces get Europe. (assuming 5 Champions League spots)

Newcastle win they get the Conference League slot. Full stop.
BUT as the Conference is the lowest of the European competitions then should they qualify for either of the others by finishing above the Conference slot then that slot is given to another team.
So as it stands, 5 slots for UCL (this is pretty much nailed on now).
6th gets Europa League along with the FA Cup Winners.
7th is the Conference.
Should the FA Cup winners finish in the top 6 that frees up another UEL spot and moves Conference to 8th.

Working on the assumption that Sanchez isn't going to be the Chelsea first choice next season, on the basis that they have about seven other keepers to choose from and will probably buy three more before then, and also that he's been terrible, it's hard to see where he goes from here.

I doubt any PL teams would want him because he's been so dodgy all season. The obvious answer would be Spain, but they must have scouts and more importantly eyes, so will have seen what he's been up to. He's nowhere near good enough for the top two in Spain, therefore he's only looking at the lesser sides, and it's questionable whether anyone other than Barcelona or Real Madrid (maybe also Atletico Madrid) would be willing or able to afford his £68,000 per week wages.

Which leaves Big Bad Bob sitting on the bench at the Dodgers, counting his money for another seven years. And we all know what he thinks about sitting on the bench.

Every time I watch him play, it blows my mind that we persuaded Chelsea to buy him. And then I pinch myself that we not only managed that, but we convinced them to give us twenty five million pounds too. It's just incredible.
Top ten Spanish team I reckon.

Some very, very dodgy goalkeeping in this game  Raya is at it too. Surprised Arsenal aren’t putting more aerial balls in, Sanchez is so nervous

Why are Arsenal fans booing Cucu? Great stuff but what’s their beef

Every team boos him now. Goes back to the Spain victory in the Euros and his graceless performances during and after that.

But also because they know he's an absolute nause.

Absolutely embarrassing levels of diving & faking injuries in this game. Each team seems more focused on trying to get someone sent off rather than playing well.

MTL rather than EPL but a decent thrike to win it:

And the scenes after the goal where you see the Rangers bench squirting water at the Celtic fans behind Barry Ferguson is quite amusing too.

In this regard unfortunately over the last couple of seasons the house that we reside in has become increasingly...crystalline.

I genuinely think that under Hughton and Potter there was a desire to play clean (within reason) even if that led to a slight disadvantage sometimes. That's no longer the case.

As exhibits A and B, I give you Mr Veltman and Mr Pedro.

How many points does that take them to behind Celtic? Eighteen? Fifteen?

<Barry Davies voice> IT'S UP FOR GRABS NOW!

Not anywhere near the levels on display in Chelsea vs Arsenal.
