How on earth is Ramsdale in the England squad? Did Tuchel think “I know I’ll pick the keeper who plays for the team which has conceded the most goals in the EPL this season and are relegated before Easter”? It didn’t need 4 keepers and this guy is garbage is WTF?
He was arguably MOTM when we beat them 4-0.

EFL Cup Final.
Torn on this one. Newcastle to win as it stops Liverpool winning plus it's about time they won something.
Liverpool to win will free up that Conference League spot.
Should Newcastle win we would need them to finish 6th to 8th (depending on how many UCL slots we get and a top team winning the FA Cup winners). Looking at their fixtures a top 6 place looks certain so-

I'm soooooo confused. Can someone explain this to a simpleton? I get that if Liverpool win, it will free up another spot for the Conference League. But how does Newcastle winning affect things?

That was coming - 1-0 Arsenal, flicked near post header from a corner. If you’re Arsenal you’re wanting to keep pressing Sanchez whenever he has the ball at his feet, and put crosses under him. He is in bits

Me too. I’ve given up trying to understand the permutations.

The winners of the League Cup qualify for the Conference League. If Liverpool win they are almost certain to qualify for the Champions League through league position.

If Newcastle win then they could still finish outside of the top 6/7 so that would mean one less place available for Europe through final league positions.

Take last season for example. Liverpool won the League Cup but finished 3rd. So the Conference League spot went to the next best league place to not qualify. Man United won the FA Cup but finished 8th, this meant Chelsea who finished 6th got the Conference League spot and Newcastle who finished 7th missed out on Europe. If City has won the FA Cup then Chelsea would have got the Europa League spot and Newcastle the Conference League.

Working on the assumption that Sanchez isn't going to be the Chelsea first choice next season, on the basis that they have about seven other keepers to choose from and will probably buy three more before then, and also that he's been terrible, it's hard to see where he goes from here.

I doubt any PL teams would want him because he's been so dodgy all season. The obvious answer would be Spain, but they must have scouts and more importantly eyes, so will have seen what he's been up to. He's nowhere near good enough for the top two in Spain, therefore he's only looking at the lesser sides, and it's questionable whether anyone other than Barcelona or Real Madrid (maybe also Atletico Madrid) would be willing or able to afford his £68,000 per week wages.

Which leaves Big Bad Bob sitting on the bench at the Dodgers, counting his money for another seven years. And we all know what he thinks about sitting on the bench.

Every time I watch him play, it blows my mind that we persuaded Chelsea to buy him. And then I pinch myself that we not only managed that, but we convinced them to give us twenty five million pounds too. It's just incredible.
