Dicker was only just beaten to MOTM by Bridge. I'd say Dickers passing was 95% today. Best player beyond the defence. 2? What do you expect him to do?
Bridge 8
Dicker 7
Dobbie 6.5
The rest below that.

Correct. Some people are really quite childish when it comes to Dicker. He was absolutely spraying it around second half, quality ball after quality ball. Narrowly behind Bridge for MoM.

Kush 6- no chance with the goal, looking more comfortable with the ball at his feet.
Calde 6- shows how good Bruno is
Adam 6-
Greer 6- not his usual level of distribution
Bridge 8- premiership quality going forward and in defence
Bridcutt 6- sloppy by his high standards on the ball, a number of important tackles
Dicker 7- moved the ball well
Hammond 6- invisible first half Better when moved to CB
Buckley- 6 had the beating of the fullbacks as usual but repeatedly caught offside
Barnes- 4 forgot he was playing
Dobbie-6 always showed for the ball, nice touches and link up. reluctant to run behind the defenders, total opposite of CMS.

WTF at all the low ratings for Dicker and Bridcutt? The best game i've seen from Dicker in a loooooong time, bossed it in midfield (coming from a Dicker disliker, too) and Bridcutt did a great job as always. Bridcutt must be one of the most consistent players i've ever seen

I think he's consistently our best player, but by his standards he had an off day

Greer, Calderon, Hammond, Barnes, Buckley, Dobbie 5
Kuszczak (nothing to do), Bridcutt, El Abd 6
Dicker 7
Bridge 9

Subs did nothing much although LuaLua looked dangerous but had too little time

Thought Bridge was absolutely brilliant, Dicker had a slow start but started bossing the game but nothing much from the rest. Probably been a bit generous to Buckley, he was pretty poor

zzzzz.....

So we have a new scapegoat...... Move over Ashley Barnes..... its now Gary Dicker.

Some of you are f***ing morons who doesn't deserve a seat at The Amex. If you can't see what Dicker did today, then quite frankly you have no understanding of football and should look to follow another sport. Jesus f***ing wept.

I agree re. Dicker, our best player after Bridge, but Bridcutt went from running the game to chasing it. Not sure what went wrong but not up to his usual standards.

Hove (actually)
The midfield 3 did not work yesterday, and it looked like they were sent out with a less than clear view of individual roles. A number of times in 1stH Liam got caught on the edge of their box and we were stretched when we lost the ball. For me Liam has to be he primary holding midfielder and should be seen upfield very rarely.

Of 3 Dicker performed his role with the most quality. I don't get the anti-Dicker / Bridcutt is a magician thing on here with some people. Those marking Liam a 7 or 8 and Dicker a 2 - 5 are not going on yesterday's 90 minutes, but heir overall perception of the player. Yesterday Dicker 7, Liam 5, Hammond 5.

I think that Brum set up well against us (Burke and Lita were very good all game), but tactically we were poor. I am a Barnes fan, but today we did not need him in his 'usual' role, and from very early on he should either have gone right up top and allowed Dobbie to play in the hole, or been replaced by Kaz.

Bridge is class - either MoM or a close 2nd to Bruno every home game so far (yes even Barnsley). We all worried he would be here to swan about and not do a proper shift, but I think his attitude has been as top class as his pace & skill. Wouldn't it be great if somehow we could afford him permanently.....?

Kaz terrifies the opposition but is not a 90-minute player. Having said that I would try reversing the current roles and start with Kaz rathe than Buckley, as when the game is tight early doors he really only needs 6 inches of space to turn in a dangerous cross or can beat his man from a standing start inside a yard or two.

Dobbie has fantastic feet, and I was pleased with a lot of what he did - just think he could've pulled the trigger a couple of times. If you watch his goals reel you'll see just how many of his goals are from early shots around the edge of the box, kept low and accurate. Go on son - be greedier, please.

So....Bridge 9, Lua Lua 7, Dicker 7, Dobbie 6, Spanish Dave 4 and everyone else 5 (bit harsh on Calde & Our Pole, as had so little to do).

Good to see the anti-Dicker muppets getting grief here. He was second to Bridge for MOM. To be honest, people are giving low marks for the sake of it because we lost. I imagine each player would be given an extra mark if Birmingham hadn't netted a worldie. How can Bridcutt, Greer and El Abd get such poor marks despite limiting them to two shots all game, one of which was from 30 yards?

We lost because none of our attacking players could find a way through. Our midfield were very good at getting the ball and we dominated possession, but we couldn't penetrate.

PIG - 6.5
Calderon - 6. Didn't do enough going forward
Greer -7.
El Abd - 7
Bridge - 9.5
Bridcutt - 7.5
Buckley - 5
Hammond - 6
Dicker - 8
Barnes - 5
Dobbie - 6

I still can't work out what the hell went wrong. Feels like we were mugged or did we mug ourselves?

Countless off sides - most of which were off side -crosses with no one getting far post (or which went to the keeper near post) - lots of great passes sprayed about - and they had one shot. And we lost?

Don't want to rate each player because I still can't decide but I thought Barnes was terrible after he got clattered and should have been taken off. Dicker looked good. Dobbie was better than the scores here indicate but he looked selfish on the ball, he's got to pass. Nope - still not clear how we didn't win that.
