No one is ready to be his replacement. But someone will have to learn to be.

Buonanotte is the most similar player in style and has done the difficult first 18 months with decent results. Think he'll get his breakthrough now.

Another similar player will probably be added but we've got 40+ players expecting first team football next season, not everyone who leaves will be replaced by new players.

Wobbling his head would only result in him wanting to finish his career at a massive club in his home country.

Would much rather his head remained steady and at task at BHAFC.

Unlikely though. Imagine that it is for Gross at BHAFC. Can't brudge him a thing. Don't think we should look to be making any kind of big bucks, if he wants to go. He's an absolute legend and the only tragedy would be that the fans won't be able to give him a proper send off.

He is irreplaceable, in that there isn’t another player like him. However many of our defeats last season we were rather one paced and fragile in midfield. So who knows his departure may lead to a quicker stronger midfield with a more dynamic transition

If he can get these sorts of figures in the next few years, he’ll be able to step in to the shoes of the legend eventually.

We need to go big this summer. Our best players over the last two season have been sold or injured mostly and Gross going means we've lost three of the best midfielders in the league. At least two first team ready CMs needed. No fannying about, no thinking about potential and sell on. They must be experienced and exceptional.
If we don't do this we will seriously struggle.

Although the source that this goes back to, Florian Plettenburg is posting a dozen or more transfer rumours every day. He's Sky's German equivalent of Kaveh Solhekol / Dharmesh Sheth. Some of what he reports will be genuine stories, but he'll often just be reporting what he's fed by agents and they'll have their own motivations. At the rate he's posting, I'd guess that, like Sky's other two, he's going to have more misses than hits.

But WBG and Goodnight can cover certain aspects, and young Jack has been described as resembling a young Pascal in the way he plays. There may be others coming through who can help.

Can't begrudge him that move at all in the now seemingly-likely scenario that it comes to fruition. Probably my favourite Albion player of all time. I doubt he ever thought he'd get the chance to go to Dortmund, play CL football and represent the national team at a home Euros, especially at 33. Incredible stuff.

He definitely needs something at the ground when he does leave, I suggest renaming 'Bruno's Restaurant' to 'Gross Cuisine'.

We are going to need a very busy transfer window. At least two top quality central midfielders that can make an instant impact, as well as addressing the gaping holes in defence.

Over the last year the club has lost Caiedo, Mac Allister, (neither properly replaced), plus Lallana, and it looks now like Groß will go.
It has to be at least two new midfielders if Groß leaves.
