Why would I want to do that? The reaction from fans at games and the Appreciation of what he’s done and continues to do is enough for me.
the banners are from spoilt brats who always want more and don’t appreciate what we have .
Your mates probably won’t agree with that though 🙂

Quite a lot of Pro Parish, but seriously where are the ring fenced funds? Are they in the accounts?

If they were in fixed bonds for the last 5 years they would only need to find another 25m to complete the stand, so why the £200m loan?
According to the financial experts there is nothing in the report and accounts about ring fenced money, nor nothing about Parish claim that he funds the academy from his massive salary. The experts could be wrong or maybe the accounts incorrect or maybe Parish spins a tale.

Palace misleading people when it comes to finances, surely not. It’d be like them selling Olise to try to cover up deficiencies in their capital fund … as if 😳

I'm not sure where the "funding the academy from his salary" myth came from.
I kind of wish it was true, as it would be the most tax-inefficient scheme of all time.

Can you explain that to me please? I don't quite understand.
I was trying, and it seems failing, to be sarcastic and point out that Mr Bloom has loaned 400 m, but that it is only ever considered a gift and not an actual loan, whereas we dont have such generous benefactors.

From a fan … nice isn’t it? Already being repaid and the overall asset it was used for is now worth far more than the remaining balance of the loan.
Is it actually being repaid? I thought it was a gift that didnt need repaying? And what is the asset? The club, the ground, or both? Are they one and the same?

The Amex, and the training ground at Lancing, was funded by interest free, unsecured, loans. Some of that loan was recently repaid.

I don't know where this idea of a 'gift' has come from.

Yes, about 35m was repaid in 22/23.

The asset is Brighton and Hove Albion holdings Ltd. This company owns subsidiaries: BHA FC Ltd, BHAFC Women's Ltd, The Comunity Stadium Ltd and BHA Foundation Ltd.

we paid him back a fair chunk last year. It is a loan but in reality he's in no rush to claim it back and wants to pass the club on to his kids at some point

The board decided to pay back about 10% to Bloom last year, he didn't ask for it, and was happy to leave it in the club apparently. It is a loan, but without interest, and will be repaid as and when the club has a surplus.

It is an non-interest loan, with no fixed repayment term, as far as I'm aware. The assets are the club, with it's stadium, the training ground, housing development and other land.

I guess the gift part is that he's not charging interest. That has saved the club a huge amount.

At the end of the day he owns the club, and if it's worth more/less, it's his asset that's worth more/less. Let's say the club owed him a) £300m or b) £500m. If he were to sell it for say £400 million, then in case a) his loan would be paid off and he'd get £100m extra for himself and in case b) his loan wouldn't get paid off and he'd have to write off £100m. Either way, it's sold for the same amount, and the club then owes the new owners £400m.

Not another player with a release clause!

“Like Olise, it is believed Eze has a release clause of around £60m in his contract, which Spurs will look at activating once they have moved players off their wage bill.”

Damn it! I wonder how many more of your lot have a get-out-of-jail card?

Eze and Olise gone for less then we got for Caicedo! 😂

Eze's release clause is £68m with the majority of that due up front. I'd be surprised if he was going anywhere. Olise's fee was an absolute bargain - I think Eze's is about market value.

I’d imagine that Guehi may go after that. To be fair, he’s been England’s most consistent player so far in the Euros.
Can then pay back most of that £200m loan.

Nope!

Sell-ons and amortisation accounts for a big chunk from those fees.
They could probably see something in the region of £110m profit after selling those 3.
