Never trust a palace fan who doesn’t like Parish, what he and his team have done for Palace in the last 14 years is unbelievable it's the most successful period in Crystal Palace history, mistakes have been made but at the moment we have a 50 million pound class one academy, the U18s and u23s have both had a cracking season the women’s team have been promoted and the men’s team achieved 10th in the hardest league in the world…and someone doesn’t like the man who under his stewardship this has happened…good grief!

It would be like a Brighton fan disliking Tony Bloom, utter madness.
I understand your position, but equally I can understand a growing resentment towards the man whose ego seems to be blocking potential further growth of the club.

The american investment he has brought in, don't seem to be happy with his insistence on preventing them taking over fully.
By maintaining a controlling interest, whilst taking money out of the club, he does seem to be a blockage.

Personally, I'm glad he's blocking them ( not just because it holds you back).

10% according to Telegraph. Palace fans can’t be happy with that. Best player they’ve had in years sold for £50m, £5m of which is add ons, and 10% goes to Reading. So into the kitty today goes around £40m, £32m initial profit on the £8m purchase. Just seems low in today’s numbers given a new deal was so recently agreed. It’s not like it’s a years old agreement that has been outgrown by the players success.
Not massive but they were getting only £35 million last summer so likely less than £30 million. He pulled out the Chelsea move and most likely got to dictate the terms a bit when signing a new deal. Bit like Ali Mac did with us. Both clubs did the right thing imho they got the extra few quid from the deal by not making the buy out clauses to high and got a bit more playing time out of them.

It’s lovely to see our Palace friends back on NSC after such a prolonged absence. Like Muskateers they must have said all FOUR ONE and ONE FOUR all.

And what’s set them off? A new stand! A whole one. I think that’s been an NSC in joke for at least FOUR years, give or take ONE.

I, FOUR ONE, am glad they’ll be staying in the heart of lovely Norwood and Thornton Heath which is so attractive when it comes to evening socials and get togethers 👍

Don't they automatically get a sell on for developing him?
Surprised they let him go for so little without a bigger cut.

The training/solidarity payments are paid by the buying club in addition to the transfer fee. It’s a tiny amount in reality (I think it’s 5% of the transfer value) but is shared between all clubs the player will have been at between the ages of 12 and 23 so in this case Reading share that payment with Chelsea, Man City and Palace. I also think Chelsea and Readings share of that payment will be roughly similar.

Good to hear, maybe you need to look at your own social media regarding Parish or Beaky or Pinocchio as your fans call him, seems like a lot of your fans dislike and don’t trust him.
Why would I want to do that? The reaction from fans at games and the Appreciation of what he’s done and continues to do is enough for me.
the banners are from spoilt brats who always want more and don’t appreciate what we have .
Your mates probably won’t agree with that though 🙂

If (big if) this new stand of theirs does eventually get built essentially it's going to look like a settled travellers gaudy mansion with concrete Eagle gateposts, fake Christian Dior wallpaper and chandeliers everywhere built in the middle of a rough council estate. Selhurst park will still be 75% a decrepit and decaying 1970s public toilet. I mean who in their right mind would choose to just build 1 new stand?! Talk about trying to polish a turd!

It’s certainly possible but I still think it’s unlikely. £68m on Eze is an awful lot of money for a player that doesn’t always turn up in big matches, and the club will drive a harder bargain for Guehi after this week’s developments & his England performances.

I think our replacement will be Matias Soule from Juventus. Supposedly Dougie is very keen and has been tracking him for ages. It also wouldn't surprise me if we managed to convince Summerville that his ambitions would be best served by a few years at Palace.

Isn't Riad brought in to replace Tomkins. 4/5th choice?

Did I imagine Palace took a £200m loan out?
I wouldn’t have thought so, you don’t come fro Real Betis to be 4/5 th choice I wouldn’t have thought.

I have Rob Holding 4/5 th and Riad as sub on the bench, Glasner never really played / had available Guehi at centre back as the back 4 were working well under his system as they were. ( the last couple of games he was available he played him in midfield)

That loan was mentioned on this forum before, I think the answer from you man in the know was something like it was borrowed against money coming in and was pretty normal practice, unless I missed something.

Given that Dougie signed a new contract only a few weeks ago and turned down a lucrative offer from Newcastle, I’d imagine he’ll have been given reassurances in that department.
Possibly, but maybe in a way a manager is told “you have the full support of the board” about two games before dismissal

beats a 400million gift (not a loan) doesnt it
From a fan … nice isn’t it? Already being repaid and the overall asset it was used for is now worth far more than the remaining balance of the loan.

Quite a lot of Pro Parish, but seriously where are the ring fenced funds? Are they in the accounts?

If they were in fixed bonds for the last 5 years they would only need to find another 25m to complete the stand, so why the £200m loan?
