I found this .... it's some evidence

Crystal Palace Football Club (CPFC) went into administration twice, in 1999 and 2010, due to financial difficulties. In 2010, the CPFC 2010 consortium saved the club from liquidation.

What happened?
  • In June 2010, the CPFC 2010 consortium led by Steve Parish bought the club and Selhurst Park from Lloyds Bank.

  • The consortium was made up of four Palace fans: Parish, Stephen Browett, Martin Long, and Jeremy Hosking.

  • The consortium negotiated a £3.5 million deal to buy Selhurst Park.

  • The consortium's efforts were aided by protests from fans outside Lloyds Bank and Selhurst Park.

What was the outcome?

  • The consortium saved the club from liquidation and secured ownership of the training ground and Selhurst Park.
  • The club was able to rebuild and enter the 2010/11 season.
