Difference might seem small but in Norwegian his name Østigård translates to "Eastern farm" or while Ostigård translats to "Cheese farm".
Cheese is nice though so cant see him being too upset.

I'm more disappointed in you though, that you haven't corrected my taking of liberties with Nordic geography.
Yeah I understand that.. I usually write it Östigård instead of Østigård since I dont have the Norwegian version of "Ö" on my keyboard.
About this though... I think English commentators are lazy when it comes to the pronounciation of Å, Ä and Ö. All of the sounds occur naturally in the English language, so it isnt a hassle in that way. When English commentators refer people called Jose and Javier as "Hoe-se" and "Havier", its understandable since the Spanish way of pronouncing J doesnt exist naturally in the English language. Å, Ä and Ö does, however.
As for your liberties... well, the Baltic countries sort of belongs to us in some sense. When they wanted to separate in every way from the Russians, we came and colonised their economies so they are in many ways our colonies.

Å is pronounced as the o in "horse" or "course". Ä is pronounced like the a in "hair" or "scare". Ö is pronounced like the e in "her" or the u in "purse".

Its the Norwegian version of Ö.
Pronounced as Swanny says, like the 'u' in purse.
Thus, Erst-i-gard, rather than Ost-i-gard.
The English insist on getting his mate Erling's name wrong too. Pronounced 'Hor-land' rather than Ha-land.
I have some sympathy for the commentators. 117 (maybe more) nationalities have appeared in the Premier League with all the languages, phonologies and regional variations that brings.
