Getting to that time where I'll be investing a new pair of running shoes soon. My God, these sports company's are really making hay out of the running boom. Just seen these new Asics Metaride's online for 224.00 quid!
I'd love to be able to buy the trainers that suit me best, (Nike Pegasus) but even those are changed all the time, with a "nth" generation, which adds more on the price.
I generally browse all the sites looking for any that suit me in a sale, as I'm really loathe to go over 100.00 quid for a pair. Yes I know you get what you pay for, but these company's are really taking the p**s.
I need a neutral cushioned shoe, as had several calf injuries down the years. Going well right now, (touches wood) & enjoying a long injury free period.
Neutral cushioned gives you loads of options........if you like a particular make/model, no need to get the latest version either, get the next to latest which will usually be discounted. If you find what you’re looking for, get a couple of pairs and rotate them - they’ll last a lot longer if you let them ‘recover’ between runs too.
Sportsshoes.com are usually a good option - their returns policy is very good too if you don’t like what they send
