Jesus wept - as much as i dislike Wilkins, it's DESPERATE to suggest he's coached Butters out of scoring goals. Jesus. 1) Butters isn't even PLAYING at the moment. 2) We aren't aiming our corners at Butters, we're aiming them at Hammond...of course Butters isn't going to score!!!

Several months not one game, why should I be a McGhee apologist all the time. Does it suit your purpose to label me such?

Plenty of niggly digs at Wilkins daily and you have even admitted you do not LIKE him. I merely offered a dig back in retaliation. Pre-conceived opinions do NOT make for a fair trial.

So we do actually aim our corners at someone? Jesus, I never realised that. I've always thought that we just hoofed the ball into the penalty area and hoped for the best.

Guy Butters, who has managed to compile 8 goals in over 200 games for Brighton has had his lethal goal scoring prowess coached out of him by Dean Wilkins. Nothing to do with the absence of a decent set piece specialist.

Didn't Dean Wilkins have a major influence in Dean Cox? I am assuming that he coached him from a young age and now he has coached it out of him? I don't buy that. It is down to form and confidence.

http://www.theargus.co.uk/search/display.var.1817227.0.cox_will_be_firing_again.php - Dean backs Cox to fire again

Yeah that's just clutching at staws - Wilkins COACHED Cox into the player he is, to say he's now coached him out of it is ludicrous.

By all means blame Wilkins for selecting him when he's been crap for a year, but to blame the coaches for his bad form is just silly

:D

Nope - watch closely. At least twice a game, Hammond will hover before making a late run to the back post. Hammond managed to put todays effort into the crowd.

It worked against Southend at Withdean, but not in the 350 attempts since:rolleyes:

It does make you wonder what the team do all week on the training ground.

:D True, but then that is surely down to the nature of our club and our inability to pull up trees in the transfer market.

Pulling up trees is easy. Paying for them is rather more difficult. Time to sell off some of our assets me thinks. Elphick and Lynch will probably be first (and second) out of the door although it pains me to say it.

Hold up - we actually managed to get a corner in to the penalty area?
