Why not cut out the middle man and send a scout or someone directly over here to check things out. There are plenty of good young players who might not be good enough for the premiership or championship but would be only too willing to get into league one and get a foothold for their future. You would probably get them at the right price as well. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Sorry but where are you talking about?

Did we or did we not approach Ipswich about buying O'Callaghan - yes we did.

Is O'Callaghan Irish - yes he is

therefore Ipswich would be the middleman.

Are Ipswich in the Championship - yes they are.

Does O'Callaghan want to stay in the Championship - obvioulsy he does.

There are plenty of budding Roy Keane, Robbie Keane etc over here who would be only too happy to get into an english club but would need the experience gained at the lower level to progress themselves.

Simple really.

We also don't seem to have a lot of money to fork out on players but I am sure there are plenty within our means over here.

We missed out a while ago on Jason Byrne from Shelbourne - that would have been a great signinig.

All going well we now have falmer behind us as well which might make any deals that little bit more promising.

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

We're better off using the £75k to knock £3 off a thousand 'golden' matchday tickets for the remainder of the season if we can't sign anyone for a fee.

Do it DK - forget which pot you allocated it to pre-season. If it's not going to be used in 1 budget then use it to supplement another which badly needs it. I as a STH would support that

Not Lewes
I must admit, it is really bloody annoying that we have still got the likes of Loft on our books when they are clearly not going to make an impact in the first team, and it stops us from signing players of this nature because we can't afford their wages.

extremely impossible.

is there such a thing as extremely impossible?

surely impossible means it is not possible for something....so it cant be extremely not possible can it?

;)

Add Mayo and Hart to that list

The fact nothing is on the albion main website in my view means the deal is still on and taking longer to sort out.

And what lower league football would that be then. In fact the only lower league football team I can see mentioned here are Brighton and Hove Albion - who obviously let him slip through the net once already. Still nice to know that Cardiff got him instead.

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Had several unsuccessful trials at lower league clubs, Scunthorpe being one

I don't mind Gary Hart, but yeah agree about Mayo. I just think that if you are going to re-sign these experienced pro's, why not use them? It's clearly not working as it is now?

I don't mind Hart either, but he isn't going to get a chance to play in the first team so he might as well not be here

Mayo,loft and hart would struggle to get into Crawleys team.Bet when all 3 leave at the end of the season not 1 signs for a league club and all 3 end in nonleague
