Right - knocked something up. Needs proof-reading for spelling and grammar etc.:

Supporters of Brighton & Hove Albion FC request ALL football supporters to boycott Asda stores with immediate effect.

The plight of Brighton & Hove Albion over recent years is well known. After the sale of The Goldstone Ground, their much-loved home, the club faced exile in Gillingham, Kent. Home games would require players and supporters alike make a journey of 150 miles. The club returned to the city of Brighton & Hove and currently play at Withdean Stadium which, until the arrival of the football club, was a small municipal athletics facility. A significant capital injection by the club brought Withdean up to Football League standards, with many of the improvements benefiting other users of the facility.

Since then the club has enjoyed a renaissance period as it won the Football League Division 2 and Division 2 titles in consecutive seasons. The harsh realities of Withdean’s 7000 capacity hit home when the club faced Division 1 football. Clubs with bigger grounds can generate far greater revenues which in turn means stronger playing squads. Against all the odds the Albion still had a chance of retaining their Division 1 status going into the final game of the 2002-03 season but their efforts were in vain as they were eventually relegated back to Division 2.

Since the club returned to Brighton, almost every game has been a sell-out and Albion tickets have been the hottest in town. Planning application for a permanent ground at Falmer has received Council approval and is currently being considered by the Office for the Deputy Prime Minister in a Public Inquiry. In order to enable further supporters to enjoy the spectacle of live football in the City, the club have made an application to increase capacity by 2000 seats as well as improve facilities. These improvements will remain at Withdean to benefit other users of the the stadium long after Albion have departed.

One of the features of a home game at Brighton is a ground-breaking policy which promotes sustainable transport methods by way of a travel voucher included in each ticket sale. A large number of supporters use a Park and Ride scheme which enables the residential area to remain free from football traffic. An increased capacity at Withdean would require an expansion of the Park and Ride facility and the club have applied for permission for this at Carden Avenue in Brighton.

Impact from the Park and Ride scheme will be minimal. If anything, traders in the vicinity could experience increased trade as football supporters make use of them either before or after matches. However, one local trader – the Asda store in Crowhurst Road, Hollingbury is currently running an in-store petition requesting customers object to the Carden Avenue Park and Ride scheme.

Supporters of Brighton & Hove Albion thereby request that all football supporters utilise other supermarkets until Asda withdraw their objections.

You may find alternative supermarkets in your area using one of the links below:

Just use an NSC forum - why re-invent the wheel.

We could make it post-able by non-registered users to attract maximum use.

Good idea.

We could make it so that no new threads can be started apart from the 'guestbook'.

Ok. If we can find someone with frame HTML knowledge it could be put into the webpage.

Might want to point out that the new seats and facilities will directly benefit away fans also if we hope to get some of them onboard.
