Just noticed that asdas.co.uk is still available. Closer enough to the real thing to get hits so it would be worth buying and creating a Boycott Asda web site.

Anyone any good at web pages ? We would also need somewhere to host it.

I'm happy to buy the domain name if there's anyone happy to do the other two bits.

Happy to oblige.

I'm sure NSCs hosts would host any sites like this, or similar, and would probably not cost a bean more than we're paying anyway.

Bugger !!!!!

It's suspended and detagged but not available for purchase. Asda used to have it but didn't renew it in Nov 2002.

Why can't Nominet & co get their act together !!!!

asda.org.uk is available though. Do we want that or should I forget it.

In a pile of football shirts
I've just sent the follonwing message to ASDA

I am complaining about the tanoy announcements as the Hollingbury ASDA store where your staff are encouraging people to sign a pettition against the local football team, Brighton and Hove Albion, using a park and ride facility nearby on match days.

Brighton and Hove Albion football club and its fans have had enough to put up with recently with NIMBY attitudes to their plight in finding a new permanent home in the Brighton area without local businesses getting in on it. It can only benefit ASDA as more people than normal will be going past the ASDA store on match days, making them potential new customers.

Get a grip, if you put up a few encouraging posters you'll get the fans coming in to do their shopping instead of their usual Tescos or whatever.

As a team we have long lived with the taunt "Are you Tescos in Disguise?” due to our Blue and White striped kit, is this not an ideal opportunity for your clever marketing department to come up with something and encourage the “Tescos in Disguise” to come into ASDA?

Yours sincerely

I think a round of

Stand Up if You Want Falmer
Sit Down if you hate ASDA
Stand Up if You Want Falmer
Sit Down if you hate ASDA
Stand Up if You Want Falmer
Sit Down if you hate ASDA
Stand Up if You Want Falmer
Sit Down if you hate ASDA

on saturday is called for.

Everyone up ASDA tonight then?! I'm embaressed to say I'll be working up there-I know lots of the other staff support the club, as well as a large proportion of the shoppers. Could be good fun!!

If I had the wings of a sparrow,
If I had the arse of a crow,
I'd fly over ASDA tomorrow,
And shit on the bastards below.

We now own asda.org.uk.

Bozza - if you post or pm me the url I should forward to I'll set that up to point to any pages you create.

For the sake of a couple of quid - a website would make them sit up and take note - especially if word is spread amongst our media chums.

Go to somewhere like www.oneandone.co.uk and buy a domain only, and then set up redirection to a page we'll create on NSC.

The job, once again, will be a good'un.

I'm no HTML man, but I'm sure someone here can knock something up sharp-ish. Email me the HTML and I'll whizz it over the Atlantic to our kind hosts to pop up for us.

To be really clever we could make up an acronym for ASDA.

Albion Supporters Destest Asda is my start for 10. I'm sure there are better though...

We need a few paragraphs stating why we have a problem.

I've got basic HTML knowledge. Couldn't do frames but can get a page a picture and some writing on a screen quite quickly.
