There is a possibility that this might make the sports diary in the Telegraph on Saurday.

I note that all the other stores in Hollingbury such as Matalan, Brantano and MFI are also opposing the idea of park and ride. Anyone know if they are being as aggressive in their tactics?

Do any of the other local supermarkets produce promotional leaflets containing their current price offers? I know Somerfield do because they are forever stuffing them through my letter box.

How about someone picking up a bunch of Tesco or Sainsbury's leaflets showing all their great current offers and handing them out in Asda's car park?

One other thought- i noticed there are links to the other local supermarkets, but why not complete the insult by adding Lidl and Aldi as well? Asda is very price focused, so why not direct their bargain seeking customers to the pikeyest, cheapest shops of all? Don't know if there are any Aldis locally, but there's definitely a Lidl near the marina.

You guys and gals:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Ain't no stopping us now, we're on the move
Ain't no stopping us now, Prescott's gotta approve

There's been so many things that held us down
But now it looks like things are finally coming around
I know we've got a long long way to go
And where we'll end up we all know

NIMBYS aint stoppin' us now
We're on the move
(We're on the move)
ASDA aint stoppin' us now
We've got the groove
(We've got the groove)
Ain't no stoppin' us now
We're on the move
(We're on the move)
Ain't no stoppin' us now
We're on the move
(We've got the groove)

But we won't let nothin' hold us back
Put our show together
We're boycottin' ASDA 'tis a fact
And if you've ever been held down before
I know you refuse to be Held down any more

Don't you let no ASDA stand in your way
I want y'all to listen
Listen to every word I say
Every word I say

NIMBYS aint stoppin' us now
We're on the move
(We're on the move)
ASDA aint stoppin' us now
We've got the groove
(We've got the groove)
Ain't no stoppin' us now
We're on the move
(We're on the move)
Ain't no stoppin' us now
We're on the move
(We've got the groove)

I know you know someone
Who has a negative vibe
And if you're trying to make it
They only push you aside
They really don't have nowhere to go
Ask them where they're goin'
They don't know

AIN'T NO STOPPING US NOW:lolol:

Take the Lidl or Somerfield leaflets from inside the Leader or your local free paper and leave them in Asda's reception or hand them out to shoppers.

Response from the Chair of the AFC Wimbledon crowd

your email is very interesting
- coincidentally, WISA's OGM was held last night, where part of the
discussion was about Asda, and whether we should encourage a national fans'
boycott. It was generally felt that this might not be effective, though if
we're not alone in this (a lot of us as individuals have stopped shopping at
Asda because of their part in the MK property deal) perhaps we can rethink
that. I'll pass this on to the committee. Additionally, I hold a post on the
Football Supporters' Federation's National Council, and we have a meeting
this Sunday. I'll bring it up then.

Regards,
Nicole Hammond

Just been on there, and the inbreds don't seem to give a toss. :tosser:

Would help to generate support from away fans if we pointed out that the new seats will benefit them too, as they will get more tickets than they currently do.

Don't blame them, why should they?

I am boycotting Asda at Hollingbury, but will use other stores. The store manager has taken this decision locally and if his store performs poorly against others as a result, then it will be his head on the line.

I mean, will you boycott Wal Mart when visiting America too?
