As long as average wages increase by a rate greater than inflation (at reasonable, not Mugabe levels) then it is not a problem. It also encourages people into work which helps economic development. Inflation is not due to interest rates being high as Nubble argues, quite the opposite.

When starting out with a big mortgage - there was nothing like a bit of rampant inflation. No good for many others - including pensioners though.

Thanks.

Beleive it or don't beleive it but the Dollar Bill is covered in Masonic and Illuminati images. Wetheh that means anything or not is anyones guess,

But you told me earlier that it all had 'nothing to do with all that nonsense'...

Novus ordo saeclorum is actually lifted from one of the Eclogues of Vergil.

Ultima venit iam carminis aetas, magnus ab integro saeclorum nascitur ordo Vergil, Eclogues 4, 5-6

When the back of the dollar was re-designed in the 30's, Roosevelt -- who was a good schoolboy Latinist, winning the gold medal in his last year at Groton School -- realized that the phrase on the Great Seal was a pretty good Latin stab at "New Deal", and asked Treasury to include the Great Seal in the redesign.

Or so I've been told...

OK,. I'll go for it... (there's no novus there though)

At the last, when the song of ages has already come, the whole, great (new) order of the centuries is born?

(it is 35 years since I got my Latin O level)

Nipple reminds me of CAPTAIN RUM:

[yt]HqN0JHubkzY[/yt]

Lokki: I was under the impression that it was common economic practice for an economy to have a banking system:
Nipple: Opinion is divided on the subject.
Lokki: Oh, really? [starting to get the picture]
Nipple: Yes. All the other economists say it is; I say it isn't

I voted for McCain because he makes fine oven chips, and Michael Palin because he was excellent in Monty Python (forget the crap travelogs).

PS. that Obama one sounds foreign - and the other one is just Biden his time.
