I hope I haven't been sounding too agressive, I do like London a lot. I just think we should be extremely grateful to be associated with such a beautiful and vibrant city.

Another thing that always strikes me as I travel around the country for football is how gormless people seem in other towns and cities (e.g. Cheltenham), not to mention obese, but maybe i'm just a snob!

Paradice City as described by Guns and Poses in the enjoyable dance track called 'Paradice City' sounded quite nice. So why Mr Rose wanted to be taken home after extolling the virtures of the City, I have no idea?!

Alternatively Chocolate City as described by George Clintons Houses of Parliament sounded yummy; particularly the surburb called Starrrr Barrr.

Barcelona is beautiful and I love it, it just beats Brighton into second place. Also an honourable mention goes to Heidelberg, I was only there for a few hours so can't claim to have detailed knowledge of it, but from what I saw of it it was lovely.

Brighton and Hove - I genuinely love it.
Krakow - beautiful buildings, weather and women.
Stockholm - always fantastic, every time.
Sydney, Melbourne and Perth - for the buzz, beauty and laid back people respectively.
San Francisco and Chicago.
Liverpool - highest percentage of grade one listed buildings in Britain. Its is a beautiful city, with fantastic people and great nightlife.

Worst - Los Angeles - scary and dull, Washington DC - even scarier and even duller, Antwerp - DULL, Portsmouth - ugly place full of fat, ugly, nasty pikeys.

LA is indeed a hole, however I must say that I enjoyed DC altho I did think I was going to get stabbed by a darkie.

Was only there for three days so had plenty to do to fill those days.

Amsterdam is good fun - kind of quiet for a major city. I like that.

I adored Paris. Yeah, Simster, it's got its foibles - the people are quite rude - but I was genuinely entranced when I last visited there. Watching England beat Australia in the Ashes while I was there did help though.

Barcelona, at least what I saw of it for the one day I was there, was fantastic.

Madrid is good, and a bit under-rated.

But, should I retire anywhere, I suspect I might for somewhere like Cadiz or maybe Nice (or at least the outlying towns around Nice).

Cairo also rocks for some good hussle and bustle

I'm not well travelled but of the few places that I have been that's the one for me, although it was Leningrad at the time so I'm guessing there have been one or two changes

You're right, the Hermitage is amazing.

I doubt its changed that much. Pretty much a dump but it has some great museums, architecture, etc..and the people are amazing. A group of us befriended a group of kids (17/18 yrs old) who showed us round the city and brought us Vodka.
