I assume you're voting for Reform.
I mean I know I can't be sure from all of your previous posts - maybe a magin of error of around 0.000000001%

So, what is your view on your dear leader's view on Ukraine?
Do you think we should commence peace talks? I know you don't think much of Churchill, but surely you can't think that Neville Chamberlain had it right?
I dare saw you know the old saw about "assume" making an "ass" of "u" and "me", but I think you're restricting that saw to yourself only this time. All four lines of a four line post contain factual errors, which makes it hard to answer really.

The ECHR is both the EUROPEAN COURT on HUMAN RIGHTS based in Straasbourg and the EUROPEAN CONVENTION on HUMAN RIGHTS just to be clear.

And if we leave the Convention, judgments by the European Court on Human Rights will no longer apply to us.

Usually the court is abbreviated to ECtHR, to avoid confusion.

Exactly. If we leave the ECHR, who is to say we wont have a comparable constitution for our own citizens, with certain absolute and qualified rights for UK citizens.
The whole point of leaving it is to remove or weaken certain rights. I don't know if you intended to use the qualification of UK citizenship, but human rights currently do, and should, apply to all humans in a countries jurisdiction, whether they are citizens or not. One of the aspects I fear might disappear.

Gods country fortnightly
Nice to see fellow grifter & hate monger 'Tommeh' Robinson has been arrested in Canada for (irony upgrade) immigration offences.
Wasn't Tommeh moving to Spain a few years back, what went wrong?

Why should we have a different one when we started the ECHR?
That‘s the problem with the anti European lot. They cannot accept that we were leaders, and other countries followed us.
They believe the lies that Britain is having to obey rules from Strasbourg etc.

With regards to ECHR - yes.

Certainly not when it came to the EU (EEC)

So what do you think of Farage Putin?

Margaret Thatcher introduced the Single Market. Britain also had more exceptions than any other country. All thrown away by lies.

Surely the whole point of leaving the ECHR to replace with a consititution for British Citizens, would mean previous protections afforded to illegal migrants and asylum seekers, would be somewhat constrained?

Otherwise why are Farage and Reform wanting to replace ECHR in the UK?

We live and learn, perhaps. Though I don't see much about the ECHR in there. Like I said, Churchill was a keen proponent of European integration, but not with the UK as part of it - the UK had the Empire and Commonwealth as its primary international support.

As for the "not dictating national policy", that's surely a matter of semantics. The ECHR has told Switzerland that its national policy is wrong and illegal. (Besides, it's a strange case. They were sued on the grounds that warmer weather is bad for old people. Received wisdom for centuries has been that cold weather is bad for the old; the number of Americans moving to Florida in old age suggests that their old people haven't learned to love the snow and fear the sun. :))
Utter rot.

“We hope to see a Europe where men of every country will think as much of being a European as of belonging to their own native land, and that without losing any of their love and loyalty of their birthplace. We hope wherever they go in this wide domain they will truly feel ‘Here I am at home. I am a citizen of this country too.”
Winston Churchill

He also said

“We must look at facts because facts look at us”

Words you’d do well to remembers

Do you really trust the Tories and Reform to replace a constitution in Britain as good as the 18 articles from the ECHR.?
Honestly?

You do know that Farage lies ? Like when he said Brexit would lower/stop immigration

And Farage's financial backers would benefit hugely if Britons decided to give up their rights under the ECHR.

If you are really concerned about 'illegal' immigrants and asylum seekers you should simply encourage the next Government to reverse the four steps taken by the current Government in order to create the whole people risking their lives in boats nightmare which simply didn't exist before 2018.

1. Reinstate the ability to claim Asylum from abroad.
2. Re-open the closed legal Asylum routes to claimants.
3. Start working with Interpol again to target people traffickers
4. Increase the numbers of caseworkers processing applications, get rid of the backlog, get approved and working or sent back (not that they would be here see 1.)
And then Britons won't have to give up any of their hard earned rights and we won't be wasting money on Rwanda, camps, barges, hotels etc etc

How about the economy?

Some professionals have analysed Reform's proposals.

I'm no economist but it does appear that, unsurprisingly, they amount to little more than a 'back of a fag packet' populist wish list that makes Kwasi Kwarteng look like Adam Smith.

A good suggestion and following my resolution of the ECHR issue, I've turned my attention to the economy and the Reform policy to 'reduce business rates for small and medium size businesses'. I believe that this suggestion is in order to help grow the economy.

I've checked the Reform policy and there don't seem to be any costs or financials whatsoever associated with this measure, so if that's the case, then shirley doing away with business rates for all businesses completely will grow the economy even more and should be done immediately. I'm even considering doing away with all business taxes completely to really fire up the economy, but I wouldn't want to go too far too fast
