The one thing I've learnt from Brexit is never be complacent again. We have tough times ahead, the Tories have burnt this country to ground and for Labour this isn't 1997. Its more like the 1930's, no quick fixes. To be fair, with Farage in charge of Reform and the Tory vote split we’ll be getting 10/15 years of Sir Keir followed by Burnham or Streeting.
By that time I’ll be retired and the kids will have been through Uni so all good
Like Trump, Farage is an evil genius, we will need to be prepared to fight fire with fire in the years ahead. I know people in my own family that are falling for the Farage shtick AGAIN and all this despite Brexit remorse, people get groomed surprisingly easy.
I hope we've had peak populism with Johnson, but it may not be the case.
