Agree.
There's a hefty proportion of supporters who need to leave asap because of long travel journeys ahead, non-drinking as driving at some point soon, doesn't work with mix of kids or other family etc etc.
Of course . But There's 30,000 fans leaving -and it only takes a very small percentage of them to change behaviour to make a material difference to train capacity/queues (or car park exits)

So much negativity on here. It is not compulsory to use the new fan zone.
Agree - But wouldn't you like the club to do everything that it possibly could to make post match travel better? It might stop quite so many empty seats in the East stand after 80 minutes (even when we're thrashing Chelsea)

I suspect, like others, that this will be extremely popular. There's no room to expand it, so I wonder if we'll see a second such facility spring up somewhere around the Amex in a few years.

* displays could be used for a "Fan Wall" display showing live social media reactions and fan photos from the match they just watched (I have seen similar things at computer conferences).
This would be amazing :ROFLMAO:

A whole wall of people losing their shit and demanding FAB OUT when we've just dared to draw against the 12th best team in the UK.

I’m afraid it seems to be the same old insurmountable problem. The club can kick and scream all they like on our behalf but we are at the behest of the transport providers. They will trot out the same old reasons/excuses - lack of rolling stock, no available staff, not enough buses blah! blah! - particularly for evening games. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a Plan B in any of this.

Done a Frexit, now in London
First time in history I managed to get an 02 phone signal / WiFi whilst stationary in he coach park, have they improved the signal or did the c3,000 no shows make the difference?

o2 is absolutely terrible in any busy area.

Given that their hands are tied to a certain extent - Spending £15m !! on something that (they hope) staggers travel journeys, will change the matchday for thousands (if they want to) and have an impact on pre and post match queues is quite the intervention. At the very least offering somewhere else to sit down, go to the loo , eat and have a cup of tea or a pint and watch football on big screens if you want to , instead of going home straightaway might be "naked commercial greed" for some or missing the point for others (sorting out signage, queue management and shelter is BAU and could be better) but i'd say its very welcome for most.

Two separate subjects.

New Fanzone - wonderful, great, brilliant - but not sure at 10.00pm how many will use it after evening games when the biggest problem is....

It would, iIMO, cost a lot less to cover the P&R queues and teach stewards how to load coaches and busses quicker - plus some management of traffic lights etc...

People will leave at 80 minutes to secure themselves a table in the Terrace and watch the end of the match on the telly...
