I’d also like to add The Hoard - An epic French zombie flick.

The Last Boy Scout, Bruce Willis. Pretty sure it didn't do well at the box office.

I'll give it some more thought and might come up with more.

Good film either way. Well, I thought so at the time. Can’t imagine it’s aged well?

They got some critical acclaim but have mostly been ignored. Most people have never heard of them.

Ask the dust is a wonderful book so i will definitely check out the movie

Vanishing Point with Paul Newman(?) - not the Paul Newman, is my absolute favourite movie. No idea if it's underrated?

The film doesn’t touch the book but I enjoyed it because I love the books. It’s a trilogy I think?

Yeah, great writing.

Happy to volunteer as judge on this thread.

I have never heard of your Fulhams (as they call them in Newcastle).

Point taken.

As an aside, Kermode’s taste in film is laughable. His obsession with his favourite film of all time,The Exorcist is as irritating as it silly.
But his film reviews are genius. And he thinks the Comsat Angels are better than U2. And he loves my second favourite-ever film (Mary Poppins). So his love of The Exorcist is fine by me.

Some films to pique curiosity on here, thanks (I'll be checking out Strange Days and Ida).

I would add:

The Drop (and I normally can't stand Tom Hardy but he plays dumb well here). I've watched it numerous times now and still always enjoy it. Not amazing just very watchable. Maybe it's the combo of him and James Gandolfini together.

A film that was maybe panned, or went under the radar, that you loved.

For me , The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. It’s like a gentle Bond movie. Beautifully shot, amazing locations, great acting.
Love this film. Have watched it so many times.
