The fact that it riles some people so much shows it's still worth doing. Keep ramming it down their fragile throats, I say.

Even though the Premier League footballers have said time and time again that it is their decision to take the knee to highlight racism, no one has any evidence to the contrary you are still convinced they are being forced by some unseen power
I suspect that many of them go along with it for fear of being abused on social media, and are afraid to face the opprobrium that will undoubtedly fall on Colin Kazim-Richards - raising his arm to support the fight against racism, but not signing up to BLM.

I'd be amazed if CKR received any criticism. Has he?

To those calling for these fans to be identified and banned, I think there are problems with this. If Millwall as a club were to go down that route, they are banning a fan for booing a gesture made by all players in support of a campaign against discrimination. Though I don't doubt many of those booing were doing so out of racist sentiment, this is very different from making an overtly racist comment directed to one/a group of players on the pitch. It enters grey territory.

To ban these fans would mean that Millwall are equating booing the entire squad taking a knee as a mark of racism, but these fans could easily argue that they were booing for a plethora of reasons, and who could prove otherwise? It's equivalent to a fan relentlessly swearing at Bissouma for example all game, but not making an overtly racist remark. Who could prove it was racially motivated, when said fan could just say it's because of his performance on the pitch?

I think this could enter more dangerous territory. If fans can be banned for booing the "take a knee" gesture, what about those on fan forums who openly disagree with the gesture continuing all these months later? Is one sign of disapproval bannable and the other permissible?

Oh offence. We can’t offend anyone can we. Offending someone is the worst thing in the world.

Jesus where does it stop? swearing offends some people. shall we ban people who chant the referee is a w****r?

If I eat a burger at my seat. It might offend a Vegan. Should I be banned?

People boo when national anthems are played. That can offend. Shall we ban them?

Time for people to grow up I think and ignore Millwall fans who have no class.

It goes a bit beyond offending people though. Millwall fans have been a bunch of bell-ends for all my 40 plus years watching football. If I had my way I’d simply shut the shitty little club down and let the council build whatever it was they wanted to build on their land a few years ago. Problem solved.

I am shocked how many overtly racist fans we have, but I guess I shouldn’t be, as said earlier there are racists in all walks of life and guess there is absolutely no reason why we, as a club, should be any different.

Just because the club portray themselves in a certain way doesn’t mean you drag all the hearts and minds of your supporters along with you.

One could argue that some people have a very low ceiling about what they percieve to be racism.

Some people reason that if you disagree (not boo, there is a difference) with the kneeling stuff, you are automatically a racist. If you have that perspective, then of course a lot of people are going to be racist. Just like a lot of people will be sexist if you percieve anyone using the term "handsbags" as a sexist.

While I agree the knee thing should go, there is a bazillion ways of expressing it in a more tasteful and constructive way than booing it.

Even some of the black footballers and pundits were saying the whole bending the knee gesture had run it's course months ago. The same with the banging of pots and pans on a Thursday evening for the NHS. Personally I am fully behind the message, but find bending of the knee to be a very submissive act (regardless of the cause) which of course not everyone is happy to go along with. People are entitled to boo, it doesn't necessarily make them a racist.I find it all a bit divisive myself.

Just don't boo........ anything. It isn't pleasant, it isn't clever. It's plain rude

I think there were plans to build expensive apartments for people that work in offices in the city.

Yes much better than a football club where every single fan is a bell end .

I am not :censored: around. Either back up your libellous statement that I am defending racists or retract it. I have been posting on the various forms of this board for well over 20 years and this is far and away the most annoyed anyone has ever made me. You just have to look a few posts down on this very thread. Or look at the Chelsea thread to see it was me that called out the person who did it at the Chelsea game, Or the multiple times I have called out Goldstone amongst others for his bigotry. I am genuinely steaming right now.

(It would be very difficult to successfully claim libel for reputation damage while using a risqué pseudonym)

I think exposing yourself outside Primary schools is bad. Shall we have a gesture against that and get all uppity when Peado FC boo against it? That's about where we are.

I think CK is a hero. I think the PL knee stuff is doing as much harm as good and should be scrapped. Feel free to patronise me that I don't get it.

:lolol:

Maybe you don't get it. I don't know.

Never mind. It hardly matters to me, in the long run

You shouldn't be. A few in the Bear Pit are completely open about it and a few others on here can easily be spotted by anyone who can read between the lines.
