A shame, its only a game and some humanity is lacking sometimes from football.

Edit: The second half was about Seagulls120's comment.

In other SFC news, the Bournemouth Echo printed photos of a Saints-Cherries game from 20 years ago in today's edition rather than pay Southampton for picture rights, the Sun continues today to refer to them as The South Coast Club, and even the Southampton Echo has come out against them in this matter.

I'm assuming the photo was taken by an official club photographer?

Was going to say it but I didn't want to get shouted down for inappropriate timing.

But glad I'm not the only one who thought it:lolol:

I saw that in the Sun about the South Coast Team. Thought it was Pompey fans working for that rag taking the piss.:lolol:

You want to read the comments section in the Southampton Echo about their game with AFCB. Most of the comments are aiming vitriol at The Sun for daring to criticise their club over its stance on photographers, claiming it's a "rag" and urging a boycott.

Er....it's not just the Sun, you plums, I think you'll find every major newspaper has expressed an opinion in relation to the ban, along with the local papers of both teams who've played Saints so far. I can't believe how many of the fans posting are actually supporting the club over it, ridiculous. They have a complete victim mentality at the moment which is hilarious to see (but then Pardew has always seen himself as a victim so it probably follows suit).

Sad news for his family.

I think Southampton fans must be a little concerned, I might have a wee peek at their message board later. I wonder what happens in these circumstances, I guess it depends on the instructions in his will.

Going to be an uncomfortable time for Saints fans.

If i were a Southampton fan i'd be cacking myself right now. They could easily go the way of Gretna when Brooks Mileson got ill & eventually died & all funding to the club was frozen

So, one club loses it's millionnaire owner to sudden death and no one will quite know how that will affect them especially in respect of their budget. The family might have followed his dream to date because it was his money he was spending but now it is their inheritence. Take a look at Gretna!

Now, back to the desire of some on this forum for our very own Mr Bloom to start funding million pound transfers etc, etc.

Thinking about it, surely their wage bill isn't that high? They've only got a few big name earners, most of who could be easily sold if needbe. They should be able to find a new owner reasonably quickly I would have thought too

Well, I did read the comments section. I counted 3 maybe 4 comments out of 150 or so.

I spy, with my little eye, something beginning with T-W-A-

Bit harsh EL P. Why do people get so wound up by inappropriate comments about dead people they don't even know? Christ when I'm brown bread I shall demand a party, grave-dancing and as many gags about me from friends and relatives as they can come up with.

Seagulls120, you're alright by me. Death to Scumhampton!

It'll be interesting to see who inherits and what they decide to do with their holdings in Southampton. Short term I guess it will prevent any further team strengthening before the transfer window closes
