I think I remember see this as a kid. Didn’t they show this in schools? Certainly remember the leaflets and pamphlets pushed through the door and reading those in late 70s

OK, so that was flippant. Yes, this is a nasty outbreak of a new strain of 'flu, but it's not the end of the world - or even the end of the human race. Take precautions, yes, try and rush through a new vaccine, sure. Some will die - same as usual from 'flu in the winter. Maybe more than usual - who knows?
What I haven't seen yet is actual facts on the mortality rate for Corona virus as opposed to the mortality rate for 'normal' 'flu. Anybody?
0.3 of them died. That arm and those legs aren't in plaster, they've been amputated.
The best we'll ever get is an estimate, and that won't be confirmed until the end of the cycle for the virus. The mortality rate for normal flu is something like 0.1%. The indications are that Coronavirus kills many more than that. Doctors in their 30s don't usually die from the normal flu.

exhaustion and secondary infection might have some affect there. right though we wont get more than estimates, not least because the data is terrible and analysis subjective. this flu would seem to be worse than normal flu but not as bad a plauge, which some think is the upper bound. but really wont know just how much until later in the year.
Doctors are often exhausted, and since they're dealing with sick people all the time, and similarly secondary infections.

This virus is just another attempt by remoaners to stop the will of the peephole its time we took control and got rid of forin illnesses and replaced them with tried and tested BRITISh health difinciencees such as bad teeth, rickets, scurvy and German measles

If your grandmother or any other member of the family should die whilst in the shelter put them outside but remember to tag them first for identification purposes.

Sounds like the virus has been bouncing around in Northern Italy AND mutating since late January. Not good, the Genie may be out bottle now, stock markets in free-fall too.... economic catastrophe too.

Yep, and there is nothing we can do about it. Only advice is to think about where you go, wash your hands and hope you don't get it.
