Must be missing what makes that funny. Cant say it's my experience either so clarity on the use of everywhere would be good

It’s funny because it was always going to Happen.

Stop the lockdown, get people back to work that are not are risk and get the economy going again

Shield the at risk properly and sort out the care homes.

Yeah you keep saying that loads of people are everywhere. Many time these past couple of weeks. That has not been my experience here in Eastbourne, neither travelling to work the other day (usually work at home) nor travelling back. The street I live in is quite busy usually, but it is still like the 1970's here.

I walk through the town every day and it’s been increasing everyday

Traffics increasing, people in parks sitting around increasing and mingling increasing.

Not my experience either.

The standard 200+ car queue at the Washington roundabout on my drive to work everyday has not existed since lockdown started. Not even a 1 car queue these days.

Dyke road not busy either. Maybe 5-10% increase in traffic last 3 weeks over first 3 weeks, but still nothing significant.

Lol ???

Not sure about traffic but foot traffic around my area (Preston park) is absolutely up, significantly more people around, most people are keeping social distance but there is absolutely no doubt many people have given up the ghost now, I’ve been out for my hour or so exercise at PP velodrome pretty much every day since lockdown beginning and I would say it’s at least thrice as busy now as it was, this is to be expected because the longer lockdown goes on the more people will ignore the rules, and not once have I seen the police down there.

Couldn’t comment on the rest of Brighton but I would say road traffic has also increased. We need to weigh up what is happening here because THOUSANDS are going to die from cancer particularly because of this, and countless others from other ailments. Tens of thousands have had their treatments stopped, including a family member of mine, and 1/5 the amount of people normally diagnosed with cancer were diagnosed in April, it’s a shocking statistic.

People ignoring the rules, or just a higher quantity of people out walking etc? It's not surprising more people are out and about at the same time today, especially as the weather's glorious. As long as people are still social distancing, which the vast majority are, I'm past the point of thinking it's a problem now.

The majority of people I see around Preston park bring a bike or a scooter and just sit next to it, so they have an easy get out clause of the police do turn up. Start of last month I only really saw cyclists and joggers down there even with the weather being nice, now there’s people lazing about. Like you say I don’t think it’s a problem either, my point being the ‘changes’ that are being talked about simply are not changes, it’s already happening.

Loads of people out and about round my way and loads in their front gardens for VE Day. Next door have people round but are just about 2 metres apart in the front garden. A couple of Dorises in the next road along have clearly been told by their husbands that they have 2 metre cocks, so poor is their grasp of social distancing.

However, I do also remember that the weekend before lockdown most people were in and social distancing anyway. I think the breakdown in lockdown is simply pre-empting Sunday's announcement and I really can't see the issue with friendship groups meeting in gardens so long as the distance is maintained.

Agreed. It was my mums birthday yesterday and I walked round. We sat in the garden which we can get in to from an open gate and sat probably 5 meters apart. Not properly seen her since lockdown for more than a brief drop off of shopping etc but was good to have a proper catch up face to face

I agree. There was the announcement the other week though about being able to sit down during a walk, providing its not for longer than the walk itself. Obviously very vague, but I guess that's partly why we're seeing a lot more people sitting too, as well as some pre-empting Sunday's changes that were leaked.

I think the problem the government have is it’s sets a dangerous precedent doesn’t it, nobody is working if everyone then decides to go sit down the park on a sunny day when nobody is working, you end up with a packed park - obviously they have said the virus doesn’t spread well outside but it still can and if you end up with a load of people sunbathing it could get out of control.

Don’t get me wrong I want the restrictions lifted for healthy younger people to get the economy going and I’m not a social justice warrior quite honestly I couldn’t care less what people do I do my own thing and keep myself to myself, people just have to act responsibly and the majority of people are still doing that, even if a small percentage aren’t.

Some people are worried about 5G, because they believe in people saying it could be dangerous. Some people are not worried about 5G, because they believe in people saying its not dangerous <snip> .

Let me just stop you there.

I can't prove that you're not going to be eaten by a mutant star goat later this evening. Just think about that!

You can't see the issue? At all? The issue is that it's a gradual decline into people deepthroating each other! A neighbour sees people with mates round, doesn't notice whether they're social distancing or not, their neighbour then has a big party and so on. Same with sitting in the park. One person had a break from their run, the next has a sandwich. Soon you've got twenty people having a barbecue.

Groups of people out in their front gardens and on pavements, here. VEing (lots of union flags out). I don't like the look of it.

One of our friends (who is Japanese) has next door neighbours in the front garden having a party with visitors. One of the neighbours' kids has drug and mental health problems. Our friend is frightened. We told her to call the police. She won't, though, for fear of reprisals. Not right, is it?

Totally agree ... it seems to me that in the minds of many the concept of social distancing means no physical contact and that's it. Other than that anything goes.
