I don't agree. The world can sustain the number of people on it, but a lot of us are consuming far more than we need to. The world's population is increasing by about 81 million people per year, so if the virus is to control the population, as you suggest it could, then it's going to kill hundreds of millions of people. I think seeing that as a good thing is a bit sick.The population of the world is probably too many as of today, so diseases like this might actually be a good thing in the long run in controlling the population. Nature trying to redress the balance.

I see GBM has been banned. He was obviously being insensitive and his comment was in poor taste, but I'm not sure he meant to be horrible. I read it as a flippant reply (not meant to be taken seriously) to a post that had suggested hundreds of millions of people dying was a good thing.What a horrible thing to post!
