[Food] Lose 7lbs in November

Day 1: 14st 7lb
Today: 13st 13lb
Lost 8lb

Since August 28th (87 days) - 38lb lost

Getting under 14st is a massive boost for me and something that, if you had asked me after the August Bank Holiday if I thought I could achieve, I would probably have laughed in your face, nicely, obviously!

I have now set myself a new target of 13st 7lb, which would put me into the "healthy" BMI* range, and then I want to maintain that going forward, by sensible eating - and drinking!



* I know BMI isn't everything, but it is a marker for me to use as a yardstick of my achievement thus far...

I'm in. Very happy result this morning. Feeling good too. 8lbs gone and another 9 days left remaining, to at a minimum consolidate the loss and at best to shed a bit more.

Have eaten really healthy ( by my standards ) this week and expanded my choice of menu.

Biggest plus this week......I have had to move the notch on my belt....!!

Continued good luck to everyone on this challenge no matter how much you have lost, especially as the December 'fill your face' month is ahead. At the moment, my Xmas will exist on the 25th and 26th only.

not had a good week but we learn and we go again as someone once said.
A little wary about posting on this thread as I don’t need to lose weight but have been very impressed by those that have and are trying. I was looking for some inspiration on a completely different topic and who knew, I found it here. NSC is full of surprises.

Anyhow
Don’t beat yourself up, bringing yourself down won’t achieve anything. Just acknowledge where it didn’t go to plan, accept it and move into week 5 With a clear idea of what you want to do.
For some perspective, week 4 is 1/52 of a year or 1/26 of six months. I know from a friend who lost weight and kept it off, that it is not a sprint and there will be a few bumps along the way.

Are you actually eating? That's amazing losses.
I am following Michael Moseley's Fast 800 diet. I eat about 800 calories a day with low carb recipes (no rice, pasta, potatoes) and no booze. I don't have anything apart from herbal tea and water outside 11am to 7pm. The plan is to do this for 8 weeks and then see how it's going.

I have also started to exercise in a more disciplined way although nothing too mad - half an hour or so, four or five times a week.

I have honestly found it quite easy. For me, it is better to have a strict regime rather than attempting not to snack or to eat a bit less.

The main problem I have is that I am a bit constipated - just been to buy some soluble fibre. If that works, I think I may drop a couple more kilos in ten minutes!

I started early (my wife can confirm that at times I am premature) but today down to 16st 0.7lbs, . I put on 3 stone after being forced to stop running in 2016 after knee injury and botched operation, have wallowed in self pity and comfort eating for too long. Target now is to go below 16st for first time in a long long time and then set another goal at 15-10 etc.

Sadly stalled this week as have been unwell (Covid I suspect) and have been comfort eating whilst feeling sorry for myself.

The positive however is despite the choice of food I’ve limited the portion size and only eat until full which explains only the slight increase.

All to play for in the final week or so, I still think I can hit target and will push for a stone off before Xmas, setting me up to hit the road running in the new year.

Just researching walking pads (basically a treadmill without the rails) as there’s plenty of time during the working day where I could be off camera in meetings but burning additional calories at the same time.

1st November - 13st 7 (moved to 13st 5 due to different scales)
8th November - 13st 2 - 3lbs lost
15th November- 13st 0 - 5lb lost in total
22nd November 12st 13 - 6lbs down.

Weight loss has slowed, saw 12st 13 early in the week but have mainly been at 13st, luckily scraped in this morning.
That last pound is going to be difficult, I feel.

An indicated 14st 2lbs today. Roughly. I think the cold's messing with the scales, so I'd take that number with a large pinch of salt (except I wouldn't, that would cock up the diet :lolol:).

If anybody's interested, I've basically just cut out all alcohol (I did Sober October and kept going), pretty much all snacks between meals, and ready meals/takeaways apart from whatever I have for lunch if I've gone into the office. To be clear, my diet before was shocking and largely based around the colour brown (tastiest of all the colours).

This is also saving me a fortune, which will hopefully go towards buying some trousers with a slightly smaller waistline. Or maybe a new belt.
Apparently I gained several pounds between yesterday morning and today.

Now, I gave blood yesterday, which meant I had to eat a few biscuits, but I'd be surprised if it made that much difference. :lolol:

As I say, I think the scales aren't all that. Anyway, onwards.
