After 20 days I’m down from 95.1kg to 92.3. I really hope I can get to 90kg by the end of the month, but I think it’s a big ask. If I’m there by mid-December then I’ll definitely be happy.
You've made fantastic progress.

That's over a rate of 2 pounds per week, which I'd consider quite aggressive, although the first bit of weight can fall off quicker.

It's more important that you make adaptions you can stick to in the long-term than hitting an arbitrary weight on an arbitrary date.

As I posted above, I have a few events over the next ten days that are likely to hinder my chances of losing seven pounds in the calendar month, but I think it is more important to enjoy these things when they occur, and I'm confident that my mindset is now right to carry on again afterwards.

So, don't beat yourself up if you're not quite where'd you may choose - you'll get there soon after if you carry on as you are.

Me too - lost over 3 kg in the past 22 days so hit the thread target of 7lbs yesterday.

Hoping to lose another 3 -4 kilos in the next 20 days in time for Christmas- the weight loss so far is really motivating me as is this thread.

I should probably cut out all the chocolate though 😊

Thanks for the kind words! I have a long term target, which is definitely doable. If I’m reasonably good then I should be ok. You mentioned Scars and Stripes earlier, I may have asked this before, but was that lady Jackie something involved with that? When I co-wrote The Tommy Cook Report she would often write me nice letters!

Jackie, who is lovely as you say, was Seaside Saga.

Weighin this morning and have dropped 8.1lbs this month, and just over a stone from last month when one of my granddaughters called me fat. I remember weighing myself at the time and was shocked at both the absolute weight and BMI>30 so had started to try to cut down. Working 50-60 hour weeks has not helped as little effort put into exercise.

Main success areas have been chewing gum (I tend to chew for hours) to prevent snacking, and avoiding bread (I love Marmite) and sugar as much as possible. Commuting to Liverpool from Sussex and living in a hotel a few nights each week, with eating out in restaurants, is also a bad habit so I’ve bought myself an apartment there and once completed can learn how to use an air fryer.

I’ve shifted my desk at home to a stand up version and now have a treadmill under the desk so can increase steps whilst working too.

This thread has been a huge help, inclusive, supportive and educational, cheers chums.

Day 1: 86.5kg (13st 9lb)
Day 21: 83.9kg (13st 3lb)

Loss so far 2.6kg (6lb)

Still making good progress and have become accustomed to not snacking between meals.
That's my big change too.

London has been a success. Not eating snacks, declining biscuits in a meeting (they got me a banana), Healthy options for supper. I haven't cracked this but good new habits starting to form.

Keep it up everyone.

14st 3lbs, which is pleasantly surprising after have had some fairly non-diet friendly meals on Thursday and Saturday with the family.

Also, fans of measuring in lbs will note that it takes me below the 200lbs mark. :O
An indicated 14st 2lbs today. Roughly. I think the cold's messing with the scales, so I'd take that number with a large pinch of salt (except I wouldn't, that would cock up the diet :lolol:).

If anybody's interested, I've basically just cut out all alcohol (I did Sober October and kept going), pretty much all snacks between meals, and ready meals/takeaways apart from whatever I have for lunch if I've gone into the office. To be clear, my diet before was shocking and largely based around the colour brown (tastiest of all the colours).

This is also saving me a fortune, which will hopefully go towards buying some trousers with a slightly smaller waistline. Or maybe a new belt.

Ahead of my sister arriving this evening, when I dive head-first into the red wine pool from the high board, I weighed myself a day early.

I’m now six pounds down this month, so my previous confidence at getting to seven was probably well-placed.

I’ll see if I can get to seven still but, as I’ve said, there are some compromises I’m not prepared to make.

Echoing thanks for starting this and keeping it going as it has been, and is, a motivational force.

I decided to stop weighing everyday, went to a party Saturday which involved a lot of drink but skipped dinner to try and compensate, then also decided to stop eating sweets completely, kept walking twice a day and increased the pace slightly.

With all that I am starting to notice an ever so slightly smaller belly so weighed myself and have hit the target:

It is only a start for me though, I really need to lose about ten times that but I feel pretty confident - it is the first time I’ve consistently managed to lose a couple of pounds a week without doing something like keto and I haven’t massively changed what I eat (less UPF, no sweets) and that feels maintainable.

so thanks for this thread, it definitely kept me “in the game”. Onwards and downwards 😂

And I thought I was being extravagant buying a Ninja soup maker to help my diet...! 😁

Blowing my weight loss target/calorie intake today - having arrived 3 1/2 hours too early for a hospital appointment, I’ve been sitting in the OP M&S cafe for the past 3 hours - so far Ive managed to avoid the pain au chocolat but have had two large cappuccinos ( with chocolate on of course), an egg mayonnaise sandwich (2 slices of bread ) and two satsumas and an apple.

My usual lunch is a clear, Be Good to Yourself cuppa soup!

Going to buy an air fryer this week - that will help.

Fri 1st Nov: 88.2 kg (aiming at 85 kg)
Fri 8th Nov: 86.9 kg (-1.3 kg)
Fri 15th Nov: 86.6 kg (-0.3 kg)
Fri 22nd Nov: 86.1 kg (-0.5 kg, lost 2.1 kg)

No training since Tuesday, a man cold and a sh*tload of snow just happened! Guess I'm happy for -0.5 kg this week. Will probably miss out on 85 kg next Friday, but will give it a go anyway. Thanks for starting this thread Couldn't Be Hyypia!

I had healthy eating week, apart from my youngest daughter made chocolate cheesecake in home economics. I did have a couple of large slices.

I am determined to have a really healthy final week to shift the 2lbs needed to reach the 7lb target.

Good luck to everyone else.
