Any money left in the Forty note fund or has it all gone on Roberts?

hmmmm ...

IF the club just happened to be interested in a player who may or may not be available, do you really think that it would be good practice to alert every other club in the land to the possibility of his availability?

Meopham, Kent.
He looked lost last season at Wednesday, but then again so did Leon Knight !

Perhaps Turner just doesn't know how to get the best out of his strikers.

I've always rated Lloyd, and was disappointed we didn't get him when he left Brentford. The SC factor would play a big part I'd imagine.

Absolutely not, which is why we haven't said anything about it. But from Weds point of view they are perhaps close to losing him for very little money, so have announced the story to see if anyone else comes in for him and could move the bidding up.

its the Weds boss stating that we are interested so it looks like (tom me at least) that he's trying to gain further outside interest and start a bidding war. They need the money so its a good move by Turner if he does want rid of Owusu, could be why we hav'nt stated publicly that we want him incase someone nicks him from under our noses.

First of all Turner freezes Knight out of the Wednesday scene, then Coppell picks him up and now he's Div 2 top scorer. Now Coppell wants to sign a player that banged in 20 goals for him a couple of years ago.

Turner must be thinking "What's Coppell got that I haven't?"

It will be interesting to see what happens. Owusu would be a great signing, and judging by Saturday's performance Wednesday are no certainties for promotion, so I reckon he'd be very tempted to join us...

Let's hope so. I always thought he was a little guy but against Wednesday he looked like quite a big bloke. Just the type to play next to Leon.

I have to say, I think poor old Henderson does cop a bit of undeserved flak on here. Granted, he's not the most graceful of players, but to me he always looks willing, and I've seen a lot worse wear the stripes over the years.

I'm not expecting loads of goals from the guy, but he's helping us out for the next couple of games at least, so give him a break chaps! Let's not forget, he's only 20 or so.

I think the vast majority of Wednesday fans would glad to get shot of Owusu, although there's still the nagging doubt that he's bound to come back and bite us on the arse (as wee Leon did).

His debut at Hillsborough was delayed due to injury, but his first touch couldn't have been sweeter - the opening goal in the Sheffield derby last year. Since then though, he's flattered to deceive. A mixture of puking on the pitch (nerves apparently) an injuries have meant he's been in & out. The signing of Proudlock & Ndumbu Nsungu means that we've probably got enough up front anyway. It's the middle of the park where our real problems lie.

If he does make the move down South, good luck to the lad - I don't think he's had the best fortune since he came. The same, however, can't be said for Leon Knight - I realise I'm a guest here & won't say anything further on that subject ;)

Anyway, all the best for the rest of the season. Here's hoping we get another trip to sunny Brighton next year, but in a higher division.

I think that would be do!

There's a thread on the Wednesday board on the subject of Lloyd's worth with the following responses:-

Any suggestions. Around £100k???

plus a bag of balls.

Do they have to pay for the sick bags, or are they free?

Therein may lie a problem

If they can't afford his wages ... can we ?

When he left Brentford it was to move to the highest bidder (out of a reported 13 clubs)

Haven't got a clue what he might be on at Hillsborough - Dessie Boy ?
