A small venue for Arctic Monkeys? No brainer.

I've got standing tickets for me, the wife and two sons for October. So no Watford at home for me!

Just peddled into town and got two tickets for me and the Frau

Not a huge reggae fan but after a tip on my Glasto thread (was it you?) I went and saw them play a wonderful sunday lunchtime set in the sunshine. Very enjoyable.

It was me, glad you enjoyed it. For their age they are phenominal.

If you do manage to see Sic Alps, let me know how it was. I've missed them a couple of times here.

Thanks. Sic Alps is this supposed to be this Friday. I tried to get an advance ticket at the weekend but its not appearing on any of the ticket outlet lists so I am wondering if its been cancelled. The venue is so ramshackle they don't have a proper website either. Fingers crossed it is still on as loving their long player.

Is that the self titled one? One of last years most under-rated records IMHO.

The Frau has sorted it out, no advance tickets apparently; pay on the day. I will let you know how I get on.

Tip for those heading Pharcydewards tonight...the gig looks like it won't go ahead. They posted this earlier, and have since been the subject of various photos swanning about at some festival in the sarf of France. Promoters and Concorde are silent.

Well, they were there when I turned up...and what a gig - I've still got a smile on my face now. Great crowd too.

Had a bit of a break but getting back into it now. Of Monsters and Men last week at the DLWP. Very enjoyable. The New Mendicants (Norman Blake & Joe Pernice) at The Lexington on Wednesday this week and Local Natives with support from Childhood at the Concorde 2 next week.

Good wunnit! Sorry about that post...The Pharcyde and the band doing the Bizarre Ride tour (Fatlip and Tre) are separate entities. Dunno why the Pharcyde account was posting about Brighton. Fatlip looked more mental than ever.

You're all going to this, aren't you?

Fireworks and co.jpg

The Fireworks are just awesome - for fans of that wonderful Shop Assistants, early J&MC, fuzzy C86 sound. I've seen 'em a few times and they just keep getting better and better.

I love Fatlip. But all of them gave it everything, brilliant.

And no problem with that post - it made it a pleasant surprise when I got to the Concorde expecting to have to go to a pub and then home.
