Careful with that spliff Eugene, its causes condensation.

I used to be quite annoying at school (still am, I suppose) trying to fit in HMHB lyrics and Cocteau Twins song titles to answers to teachers. My friend and I thought we were hilarious. I still like trotting out quotes, especially Alan Partridge ones, but i am aware at work that i need to avoid coming across like Colin Hunt from the Fast Show. You can't beat album/song titles like Trouble Over Bridgewater or Joy Division Oven Gloves though....

We have a secretary at work called Lynn. I am forever using the Alan Partridge quote 'Thats a negative Lynn and right now I need two positives' whenever she moans. She takes it well though. As for HMHB lyrics they are the very best.

wow, they get around, they played here on Monday! I'm off to see The Superjesus tonight, they haven't played for around 15 years (not that any of you non Australia dwelling lot would likely have heard of them).....

And they're playing here (NL) on Sunday...

They really do get around. I think after Glasto they have a couple of European dates, then back to the states for a few shows then I'm sure Kyle (Black Angels guitarist) said a short break while his missus has their second child then back on the road again!
On a side note, I was fortunate enough to meet with the band and they were the most genuine, friendly, softly spoken, non egotistical people I've ever met. Oh and they are back to the UK in September...

Hopefully getting some tickets for Sic Alps today who I have just discovered are playing on Friday. Seeing Apparat tomorrow. Arctic Monkeys are playing a small venue over here in Nov and am tempted to see them as well.

Congos at the Concorde for me tomorrow evening. I can't wait. The downside? Missing PiL @ The Dome. Really awful clash that one.

Not a huge reggae fan but after a tip on my Glasto thread (was it you?) I went and saw them play a wonderful sunday lunchtime set in the sunshine. Very enjoyable.

It took a second to register up in my cranium,
My head,
My skull,
My dome,
My brainium.

The Pharcyde perform Bizarre Ride II at The Haunt on Monday.

Can't wait.

A small venue for Arctic Monkeys? No brainer.

I've got standing tickets for me, the wife and two sons for October. So no Watford at home for me!

You're right; I should go. Whilst I could see the attraction I never liked them when they first came out. But I have really warmed to Alex Turner later in his career and enjoyed Humbug, Suck It And See and his Submarine soundtrack.

It's a 3,500 capacity hall so it's not as small as I thought.

Still, more intimate than you'd expect. Go! I checked this out a few weeks ago, to see if it would fit with a half-term break in Berlin. A week too late, unfortunately.

Ah, that's a shame. It would have been cool to go with you.
