Lucky Capello has more football nous than you otherwise why would he still pick him for the squad. barring injury in Italy, he is almost a certaintity for the squad next year.
You single Beckham out but what great performances have there been from the 7 other midfielders you think are better than him? I believe had McLaren not had your line of thinking at the outset of the 2008 qualifiers then we would have qualified for that tournament. It was only the reintroduction of Beckham that dragged us back to having half a chance of qualifying which McLaren then proceeded to balls up with his final starting 11 for the Croatia game. Even then the introduction of Beckham in the second half got us back level.
I would still be interested to see a list of the 7 midfielders you think are better and have a bigger impact on the team.

The MLS is just a load of old gubbins though innit. Didn't LAG lose to a team called Real Something-or-other, which reminds me of Sunday football with teams like Bevendean Barcelona.

Some people on here are clearly jealous of Mr Beckham. So LA lost on penalties, does that give you the right to slag off Beckham. He has done more for the national side than any other player in the last 10 years or so. So get over it and crawl back under your rock.

Those angles are excellent, really feels so much closer than normal cameras for penalties. Should become compulsary in future for shoot outs!
