I don't see why he couldn't have done a fast tract thing with his passport and get it done in a couple of days, and if the club was serious about signing him then they should have a club official over in Spain with a contract

Maybe he is off signing Jason Scotland. Surely not the 'alternative' target man we need?

TWTD.co.uk | Wolves and Brighton Eyeing Scotland - Ipswich Town News

Wolves and Brighton and Hove Albion are both interested in signing out-of-favour Blues striker Jason Scotland on loan for the rest of the season.

The 33-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of June, has featured only once as a sub since Mick McCarthy took over at Portman Road and with David McGoldrick, Aaron Mclean and Frank Nouble having signed in recent days, seems destined to leave on loan during this transfer window.

The likes of Nathan Ellington and Ronan Murray would also appear set to move on.

If Jason Scotland is the best we can do we can forget the play offs this year.

I fear you may be right...... this would be a real anti-climax given Gus's very public statements about the need for a prem level target man ...... this guy smacks of being a desperation signing who will add to the clutter already languishing unused on the bench.. (Dobbie etc)

You would hope that if Scotland comes it would be him plus whoever this "Big Man" is. I still anticipate CMS going though (I hope he doesn't) so we would need to get two strikers in. At the moment, we have CMS, Hoskins and Dobbie (I see Barnes as a midfielder nowand Toby is seemingly out of the picture). Hoskins and Dobbie is not enough but add Ulloa (or whoever) and Scotland and at least there's depth.

Hoping that the Scotland rumour is just that. He would not be the one that would lead us to the playoffs. I hope we have a better plan B if Ulloa does not come to fruition, which appears increasingly likely. There must be better out there than Scotland.

Abreviated translation: passport tramits have been sped up, and his dual nationality could be confirmed in amaximum of between a week and 10 days. Then his path would be to the city of Brighton and Hove, with the surname Albion, with a seagull on the crest, possibly the sunniest place possible on those isles:lolol:

He's going to Eastbourne Borough then.
