I'm not sure whether its necessarily just the lack of talent on the players' part, it's also to do with the fact that McGhee had his favourites in my opinion.

Kinky : absolutely right, it is the Leon Knights and CKRs of this world that would have got us higher up the league last year.

But there is a balance. Bad eggs can ruin team spirit and cause unquantifiable damage.
McGhee got more out of Leon than any other manager to date. CKR is currently living on potential and reputation. He will soon have to do the biz regularly to warrant his lofty heights. It was obvious that we were just a rung on the ladder for him, but did we ever see the sort of commitment from someone like McShane?

Shame that Leon is now in League Two - he was a pleasure to watch at times, but has a self-destruct button that is pressed regularly.

I think there's possibly more evidence to suggest that McGhee was more at fault, as I thought CKR and Knight were usually pretty committed, despite the picture that some on here paint. Saying that, it is easier to argue McGhee's case.

Leon caused trouble at every club he went too. Are all the managers to blame?

That's not what I'm saying, but I feel he could have helped us out on the playing side had he stayed. He was in the form of his life at the start of the season he left us. If he was simply too disruptive and there was no other option but to get rid, then fair enough.
