may not be the best player on the pitch but he gave 100% and was a great leader, IMO his injury was one of the reasons we went down

And mine but you're not allowed that point of view on Nsc.

Agreed. He was on a decent run of form and we were gelling well together as a team. Scored that cracker against Hull, when Prezzer was being 'wined and dined'.

Will he recover fully from his injury? He seemed to keep himself in very good shape before the injury, so I am hoping he can.

Overrated, doesn't want to sign for us, is leaving us in the limbo but is keeping us a 'back up'.

Not particularly respectful, but i'd rather have Reid and Hammond together anyway.

And quite right. Loft WANTS to do well, despite the fans hating him.
Bertin clearly doesn't give a toss either way, despite most fans believing him to be the new Makelele

All to do with options, surely? I would imagine that Loft is on his last professional club IF he doesn't make it (Although I hope he does).

You can't blame Bertin for hanging about to see what is out there. He is 27 and halfway through his career. We were not doing him a favour by giving him a temporary contract. I am sure there were other suitors. If I did not have any emotional tie to Brighton then I would consider my future and wait to see what is on the table. It is not as if we supported him through years of injuries - he has only been with us for six months.

Decent player, would certainly have added something to the squad.

Can't blame him for looking at all his options, and the end of the day it's his career and got to see where the best offers are coming from.

However, the fact that he has left the club completely in the dark is not on, for this reason we should give him a deadline to sign or f*** off. We can't hold on for ever, and as there is other clubs interested i assume we have offered him a fair whack which we can use now to attract a decent player, rather than waiting till only the dregs are left.

I agree and it doesn't take much to pick up the phone and say Non merci.

Why are people assuming that he dosent have any offers???? Perhaps the reason for the delay is that he has a number of decent offers and he is weighing up all his options bfore signing anywhere.

Imho, he wasnt that good anyway.

Well I agree too, his leadership qualities have been sadly missed since his injury.

Bertin's a good midfielder at this level, whether he could hold his own at a higher level is nont known. But some of his performances last year showed he's a decent player and alongside hammond did a good job. I would be dissapointed if he didnt sign for us but not devasted..providing we brought someone in to replace him.....

Him leaving and replacing him with el-abd would not be an option......again..i'd search for an expiereinced head...i'd be happy with holt....

You cant blame bertin though...why shouldnt he look for the best deal..he owes us nothing...the only thing i'd say was a bit sad and unfair..and happens a lot in football these days..is the fact there is no communication...we dont even know if he's coming into training....i mean what the fcuk....if he's weighing up options..why nmot just say..leaving a club in limbo is unprofessional imho...

Good player..but a new signing in that position could give a fresh look and performance out of the lads..
