Yes, these are dangerous times - but Christ almighty, there's some f***in' rubbish beiing spouted on here!
Russia probably couldn't believe their luck over Brexit, the UK voting to weaken itself and the EU simultaneously with only a minimum amount of investment and effort from Moscow. Their next target will be the break-up of the UK and the consequent loss of our status as a permanent member of the UN security council.

....
I wouldn’t fret too much though, nothing you can do, except develop stomach ulcers or make yourself sick with worry as I did as a kid re: protect and survive pamphlets/public info films. That never cam to pass thankfully but I was sacred stiff thinking about it at the time.
That's already been alluded to on here. My point stands.
Oh indeed. Did you have the person come round to your school telling you what to do in the event of a nuclear war? You had to stock up on dried and tinned food, and to ensure fresh water you should fill up the bath before war is declared - and then take off the bathroom door and lay it on top of the tub. That would stop the radioactive dust from contaminating your water supply.
That all assumed that we'd get some notice. It was extremely possible civilisation would end, not due to a diplomatic incident escalating out of control, but due to some systems failure. The USA and the USSR, both with enough firepower to reduce the world to radioactive ash many times over, constantly monitoring each other, each expecting the other to launch a sneak attack. We were only ever a few human/computer errors away from Armageddon.
The fact that at any given moment we were only ever a few hours away from the planet being a radioactive wasteland did give me some nightmares! None of the current threats facing us today comes close to that level of dread.
I expect Putin would be pleased that many on here are more interested in scoring domestic party political points rather than focusing on the real villain.Yes, these are dangerous times - but Christ almighty, there's some f***in' rubbish beiing spouted on here!

Someone will be along in a minute claiming this is what we voted for in 2016 [emoji1787]

How long b4 the French raise the white flag, Germans already have. The is hamstrung by the Gas situation and their total reliance on Russia
Well we already had a Clown earlier suggesting that Boris sent the RN to the Chanel to defend us from NATO so I guess anything is possible, I wonder if said clown knows that the current Flagship of NATO’s response force is one of our Aircraft Carriers [emoji2357]
