One thing he will need to improve is how to receive a fast paced ball (typically from Dunk) while being closely marked. That said, we hardly attempted any such balls yesterday till Welbz came on. Almost everything was going out on the wings. That said, this may be more about the newness of JM in the starting line up. He has been a full international for years and it would be great for the team if he builds on his steady return.I imagine a few NSCers/social media guys will disagree, but I’d have him starting ahead of Gilmour.
Gilmour is a better passer and more cultured, but not by enough to excuse his physical limitations.
