As much as I'd like this to be the case, not so sure that Moder has the technical ability to play in a RDZ midfield duo. Our current duo lack the physicality and pace that Moder and Baleba have.

You could well be right. I hope we find out one way or the other in the run-in.

I'm amazed at that stat. I've never thought of him as particularly quick so to hit those levels so soon after such a terrible injury seems remarkable.

I can't remember the game - West Ham away in January? Stoke away in the Cup? - but there was an instance when the opponents had a breakaway and Moder showed a great turn of pace to get back and help avert the danger. I was pretty amazed as pace is certainly not something that I associated him with, even before his injury.

If we were in Europe next season (highly unlikely) I would keep for squad depth. If we aren’t he’s not at the level and would sell.

The fact that he doesn't have a position is very telling imo. He is very good at football obviously but he doesn't have any particular attributes that stand out. He isn't fast, he can't take people on, he isn't brilliant at tackling or heading or shooting (he has never scored) so I would definitely like to see him moved on as harsh as that sounds. He was a hangover from the awful Potter performances. It doesn't help him being asked to play in many different positions but as I said, under two managers, he doesn't really seem to have one.

maybe but we’ve seen jack hinshelwood get thrown in at right back when he’s a midfielder, and he’s shown more there in a couple of months than moder has shown in years of playing for us

MOder was superb before his injury, just found himself, he was also very good for Poland in left midfield? In a more Attacking role?

He's admitted he's found it challenging to adapt to Bobtalian ways, but I think he's getting better, and back to match fitness/confidence.

the fact that, like Gross, he's being used as a makeshift utility player isn't of his making.

Right now, I'd rather he stayed and RDZ Went than the other way round . . .

all I know is he does not score goals , create Goal scoring opportunities, wins Tackles, has pace , runs at the opposition,
controls a game, , so at a loss what he really contributes

Since he’s been at the club, our goals to game ratio with him in the side compared to without him must be grim reading.

Yep. He’s alright at everything. Great at nothing.

Not sure I've seen him have more than about 4 good games in his entire career here. Can't justify his wages let alone him starting every week. Baffling.

I really can't believe people think Moder was the issue tonight.

We had Pedro up top surrounded by three older players who's top speed combined might have equalled one of the City defenders.

Groß hasn't exactly set the world alight recently as an example of you're only as good as what's around you.

Moder was trying to do the job of two players last night as Lallana was treading water the whole of the first half and Jakub was trying to cover him as well.
The way City pressed in midfield and their rotation of play and players in the middle must have been a nightmare for him.
