So you would rather have a player in Robinson who does not often look like he will score, rather than a player in Murray who already has 7 goals in 2 and a bit months at the club, purely on the fact that Robinson might love the club more than Murray?

like it or not murray has 6 in 16 and jake has 4 in 15 starts.

i dont like to count sub apps as sometimes its a min her or 5 their and can often be a difficult position.

not loads different in goals per start.

But i think he gives us something different with his runs off the ball and his work rate. (id also of rather had revell then murray).

And i remember a game at home to plymouth when we won 2-0 and he played wide in a 4-3-3 with knight and carole and we tore them apart. And i cant help but thinking that if it was played like that with forster at the top of the 3 then they could be awesome at this level. cox and jake work hard to make it a 4-5-1 when we are defending but giving them 2 freedom would pose more of a threat IMO.

I know wilkins has his way but im more a fan of the movement and work because when we look stale murray doesnt offer us those runs and if he does he makes them about 5 mins to early and is offside.

stale or not jake continues to make runs and offer himself for ball to feet or through or over the top.

However both Cox and Thomson cope with the physical aspects of the game far better than Robinson does.

So far Thomson has looked like he is struggling with most aspects of his game!

Robinson has improved his physical input to the team, I've seen him get stuck in a good few times this season. Much more so than in the past anyway.

Murray has 7 this season as well.

The one that went in off Murrays arse, was put down as an own goal by the league.

It's only the Albion that count it as his goal.

Also, I didn't write anyone off! I said that Thomson is struggling, he obviously hasn't settled in all that well.

Well that is OK then. He has still contributed a load more in 3 months than Robinson has in the last 15 months.

Yet there are some on here that would rather see Robinson, purely on the basis he might love the club more than Murray.

Wasn't me who said that.

I want to see him in the starting line up on Saturday, because I think in both previous matches we have looked more lively when he has come on.

Coupled with the fact he is a youth product that has been a good servant to the club at such a young age, and has had to sit on the bench due to loan signings etc.

He deserves his chance! That's my angle

Of course he is, of course.

Just like Revell was better than Murray is he ran around a lot and Murrat does not.

Sod it lets get a load of work horses in, chuck in the odd youngster who has played over 100 games without doing much, but loves the club and sack off one of the few players that actually knows how to score goals.

Oh we did that last season and nearly went down...

When jake is on form he is a handful, and does give us natural width. However i agree he blows hot and cold. Although this could be partly because of the way he has been managed. Seems to be dropped very easily by Wilkins...twice after scoring in the previous game so has probably been a bit hard done by.

I have not said a bad word about Murray.

Can you not have a serious debate without taking the rise?

Not when it comes to people still banging on about a player who has played over 100 games without much return, yet for some reason people still see potential.

I think the 'rise' as you put it has well and truely been taken by those already writing off Murray and Thomson, but then this is NSC, so I should expect it.
