Hmm this article has now changed on the Argus website and includes a comment in bold that the Argus are carrying out an investigation into the original article;

Please note:
Comments left at the end of this article that were attributed to The Argus' Albion Reporter Andy Naylor earlier today were not posted by him. The Argus is currently carrying out an investigation into the source of these comments.[/U][/B]

If you notice the original article had 17 comments after it but now has 15. The investigation (as I read it) is who posted a comment posing as Andy Naylor. It was fairly insulting and not the usual sort of 'prank' pretending to be someone else that others think so hilarious.
No doubt the Argus has the poster's ISP.

I read the stupid comments as well so not surprised that they are looking into it.

I think unfortunately Robinson is a bench player he can inject a little pace in to a game for 15/20 mins but thats about it.

IMO when ever he's started a game he's been a real dissapointment.

Allow me to point out that the 9 points the team have won have included Jake either starting or coming off the bench (2 starts and 1 sub)
The games where he hasn't played = 1 point.

With all due respect Yorkie we've covered that ground already earlier in the thread. Those kind of stats for the mere amount of games so far this doesn't does not a game changer make. Look at the stats over the last two seasons and that statistics argument crumbles.

Like a fortune teller we can take the small amount of games played so far and add a bit of "he'll come good"...which as we're all saying is subjective opinion. That's fine, but it's too early to counter opinion with stats. The point made there was an "in my opinion" one. Personally I've always felt everyone on NSC has always got fizzy knickers about the lad and can't seperate sentiment from the tough reality of League One and expectations to achieve more.

The Argus are slightly asking for trouble by not having people register before leaving comments.

You're right twickers. I should never let facts get in the way of opinion. :lol:

I'm glad you agree Yorkie, even though you didn't let facts prevail, but you do a Conservative confernence party job of spin.
Never let an insufficient amount of information lead to sensationalism and un-objective establishment of so called fact, else we'd have no Falmer.

He's very new in the professional game, in the first team. Every player has to start somewhere, and although I don't think you're disputing that fact - I'd like to remind everyone that they aren't always seeing a 'finished article' in a first league games of a player.
It's an extreme comparison to make I know, but right now I'd rather Robinson in my team than Schevchenko, who is a proven talent that can't hit a cow's arse with a banjo. (with apologies to JR for comparison with someone who's so extremely crap).

Let's get things into a right perspective here; Jake Robinson is obviously a talented player loaded with potential. That may or may not bear fruition, but he's not stuck in a time zone and neither is his career complete. He's an asset who is good enough to be on the verge of the first team, and if he keeps gaining maturity of play, and experience, he could be an Albion legend and a consummate pro footballer.
