Well the fans would want to know why someone is not even in the squad when he was due to play and travelled with the team.

He is being honest and not hanging out his dirty laundry.

Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't...!

Yes.........thankless task this football lark. Good money for a cushy life tho....
However, it seems from Jake Robinson, that he hadn,t been told why he was dropped by Wilkins either............or is Jake lying...?

Bin away. What did Jakey do that was so 'unprofessional' on the Friday to be outo fthe squad on the Saturday? Not that Wilkins is a big fan of Jakey anyways. Tho probably smarter than the dunce McGhee who deeply embarrassed himself by farming Jake out to the non-League

Robinson axed after training ground row
By Andy Naylor

Jake Robinson had a training ground row with boss Dean Wilkins before he was axed from the goalless draw at Swansea.

Robinson's was a surprise omission from the squad for Saturday's stalemate at Swansea and the The Argus has uncovered why last season's top scorer was dropped from the bench and accused by Wilkins in our sister paper, the Sports Argus, of "a lack of professionalism".

Wilkins was unhappy with Robinson's attitude and performance in training on Friday after informing the 21-year-old he was not in the starting line-up.

Words were exchanged between the pair in a confrontation also involving Wilkins' assistant Dean White.

It led to the tracksuited Robinson watching the match from the sidelines.

He has become increasingly frustrated by his failure to command a regular place in Wilkins' plans this season.

Robinson, used so far on the right wing rather than centre forward, has started only twice - in the home victories against Northampton and Millwall.

He was dropped for the next game both times but thought he had done enough as a substitute against Yeovil and Gillingham and in the reserves to warrant a recall.

Wilkins says the matter is closed as Albion prepare for tomorrow night's south coast derby at Bournemouth.

So that's all it was. I was hoping it was the underage-Venezuelan-hookers-wrecked-hotel room-midnite-police-raid kind of 'unprofessionalism'.

Far more picturesque...

Like it or not Wilkins is the manager and what he says goes. Robinson may have been playing well this year but he's not an automatic starter. He's still a young and developing player who needs to be both better and patient. Storm in a teacup though.

He'll still be a young and developing player when 30

Well, at least he wants to be playing. If that's his 'unprofessionalism', them what about when players show their unhappy being taken off, that's the same IMO.

We should be looking to get the most out of Jakes pace during this part of the season when the pitches are firmer.

its also white who has a huge problem with robinson

not quite sure how mcghee was a dunce for farming him out to non-league - as that 'farming out' got him playing first team football and got him into form, so that when he was called back he had a MAJOR impact on us surviving in that league

It also depends how Wilkins deals with it. If he can really give Robinson a clean slate then fair enough, or he could let it fester like other managers might.

It does seem very much like Robinson has to do more to earn a place than anyone else, if he is frustrated it is understandable.

Werndy was right to drop Jake if he had a hissy fit. It's such a difficult issue with Jake. Wendy gave him alot of games last season but after an encouraging start he couldn't score for love or money. Now it seems the team is modelled round stronger forwqards rather than a quick forward like Jake. So the ony option is the wing. Whilst Jake can dribble, run, cross and get a shot in he is still not very strong and a defensive liabilıty. I think Wendy is afraid to pick him againsty strong teams as he thinks Whing will get swamped. And he may be right. Wendy has to take the long view and Jake will take his own view. When the player becomes more imprtant than the team then it's time for the player to move on.

Should Jake Robinson return at Bournemouth tomorrow?

Which strangely enough is exactly where he will play the majority of his career once he leaves us.
