I thought you meant he was on Facebook during a game.

Was it during training then?

He was on Facebook during the game because he wasn't playing.

It will be great when Wilkins knows Jake post messages on facebook whilst in the stands

I think we're a better team with better results without Jake. I know that's not a popular notion.
Nor is it a correct one.
With Jake playing this season we have gained 9 points.
Without Jake playing this season we have gained 1 point.

I don't know what Jake is supposed to have done, but you can if understand of he gets frustrated when he has been one of our best players this season and still gets f***ed about, he plays well and gets benched, comes off the bench, plays well, still gets benched etc etc.
And to be honest, even if he had sexually assaulted Dean White, I'd STILL rather have him than LOFT.

It would appear that this is a make or break season for Jake he is no longer a player with potential. If he does not make the position in the team as a regular this season there appears very little reason to keep him here and perhaps he should be allowd to try to further his career elsewhere.

Score goals?

from out on the flanks? :glare:

personally he's built like a winger from the start but can skn players and has a good cross on him so for me he is doing the job he is asked

not a scooby about the Deano bust up mind..

Would have been better for Wilkins to say what Jake did, that lacked professionalism.
Can see this story getting bigger.

Actually see it the other way round. Any indiscretions should be kept in house and stay that way. I bet if Wilkins had aired the problem in public a vast majority on here would be whinging about how unprofessional it all was.

Difficult to imagine what he has done wrong - maybe it was a prank that went wrong ?

Whatever it was we can only hope he learns from it and fight's for his place back in the first team, I'd much rather whatever it was is kept inhouse at the club rather than go public with it though.

I don,t necessarily disagree with you.....but if Wlkins is going to tell the media that Jake was dropped from the squad for "professional"reasons, he,ll have to expect this story to run.
If he wanted it to stay "in house", Wlikins shouldn,t have spoken to the media.

So what does he say when the media does ask him that exact question? No comment? Because if he does both media and fans will smell a rat. Saying he is injured or off form is blatant lying that probably wouldn't go down to well with the players. He could get away with saying its tactical but again its a half truth and something that could rebound on him.

I'd imagine if Wilkins had his way he would say nothing to the media but with local radio stations and papers asking him questions (And us expecting some answers) he has to give some form of answer. I actually think he's been able to reprimand Robinson without humiliating him in public whilst retaining an air of control. Next week it all starts with a clean slate.

Maybe a more astute manager would say something along the lines..."as you well know, I don,t discuss publicly, why some players are occaisionally rested from the squad".......

You can't say it's not correct, it's an opinion. I know the stats this season, what we've had of it so far, suggest otherwise. However, if you look at a longer trend beyond 10 points that's not the case.

That said, to be fair to the lad and also mentioned in this thread, I'm not entirely sure he's used right or maybe he's trying to do something he shouldn't e.g. I shouldn't expect him to score goals. Yes he is a better punt than Loft. I'm still not sure though that makes things better, but perhaps this is a season about learning lessons, getting experience and finishing mid table.

Well the fans would want to know why someone is not even in the squad when he was due to play and travelled with the team.

He is being honest and not hanging out his dirty laundry.

Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't...!
