I'm still pissed off we didn't win the Championship.

That genuinely does still rankle with me. All the way up to Carrow Road for that evening game with a massive spring in our step, only to watch a pitiful performance because it appeared the whole team had been on the lash celebrating promotion.

To then completely take our foot off the gas and say to Newcastle... there you go, have the title if you want it, we've got what we came for...felt really deflating.

I'm not gutted about Charlton though. Mainly because it was Charlton and I have a bit of a soft spot for them, so in a bizarre way I didn't really mind going out to them, especially in that manner. It was all a bit comical really.

That reminds me of something RDZ said in his post match interview,. He wants us to make mistakes, what I think he meant, which was probably lost in translation a bit, is I want us to take risks. We are playing a lot more risky football at the moment, there was a great article during the world cup break about how much more of a risk we take under De Zerbi compared to Potter but the reward is there for all to see.

Of course it might/probably will go wrong at some point, on the odd occasion. It's a risky strategy and taking risks will occasionally backfire. A ten year old could work that out.
If it results in us creating more goals than we concede then the risks are worth taking. It's really not a difficult concept to get.

If you hoof the ball and their CBs win the ball and they score 20 seconds later, the just-hoof-it-strategy costs just as much as if you f*** up playing it from the back and they score 5 seconds later.

It seems Pep Guardiola, GP, Klopp, Arteta, De Zerbi and so forth have realised this, and there is a small chance that some or all of these might have more knowledge about the game than your junior school football coach.
