It was pretty reasonable to add mine to my home contents insurance, in fact I don't think it affected the premium as it was and covered it for loss, theft or breakage either in the home or away.

The screen isn't the problem, it's that the "digital crown" and button are on the right hand side.

So it flips it upside down but making the crown in the bottom left. Still a bit awkward.

Surely, for left-handed people, it makes sense for the crown to be on the left-side (the nearest side to the operating hand) when worn on the right wrist?

Disagree. They tend to only release decent products. The shit ones (the old Apple TV) don't sell well at all. When they changed the iPod Nano, shit sales. When they changed the shuffle. Shit sales.

They've certainly got more than their fair share of fanboys, but most of the time the reason for the sales is the quality of the product on offer.

I think a lot of people become anti companies due to massive success, personally I admire that success as employers will buy into it and want to do things better.

Why would Argos, who have designed and commissioned their own tablet be equipping their shops for customer retail purposes with iPads ?

I hope your wrong, I only bought one 3 weeks ago to be honest i'm really not bothered what it drops to, I was happy with the price I paid for a new 5s and it is a great phone, I did know the 6 was coming out but as i say i'm very happy with what I have.

I had the s5 on ultra power saving mode and it lasted more than a week whilst camping, I think it was anticipated to last about 12 days from a full charge

Having owned iphones and Galaxys I much prefer the Samsung and have found the battery life to be far better. *ducksforcover*

No, I dont think they were at all. People leapt on them. Phones, specs, monitors, people just aren't interested. Apple are fast becoming seen as rather naff, whether it be their labour issues, battery life, pricing, scrabbling for pointless new features, each phone being the same. They have had their time i think.

The watch uses your phone to do stuff, you need your phone on you when using the watch, the watch is basically a fancy remote for phone

Not that useful then...what they need to do is make it standalone so it's all you need and/or waterproof so you can take you're swimming etc, can't see it's use if your easier to use iPhone is in your pocket. They went into collaboration with YSL they should have got into bed with Rolex and brought out a £3k one

Geeks don't. There is a guy in my office already using a Samsung wearable. There is a fairly decent uptake on things like Fitbit too. They have interesting implications for a number of sectors and occupations. For example health screening for occupations like the police and military, collecting data to help life and health underwriting the same way as the driving sensors are now influencing car insurance and improvements to hands free communication so that people can truly write emails by simply talking out loud and receive calls by flicking their watch.

I remember a lot of people scoffing at the iPad when it came out and saying it was just a giant iPhone without a phone. Turns out they were wrong.

Yeah, but bottom left. Why not put the crown in the middle on one side and button on the other?

geeks do not make a viable mass consumer market. the fitness sector shows there's a demand for "wearable" devices, but also that there's already a lot of competition, offering far cheaper solutions. one comment i read said they aren't going to ditch their trusty, well-battered running watch, for an expensive Apple device that would break. i know a sample of one, but illustrates the problem of that market need robust devices. the tech has been available for years, why isn't there other uses? because everyone has a smartphone, and they don't really need a remote control for it.

I don't know what the iPad is like now but I got shot of mine mainly because it was cumbersome and you could only have one window open at a time. Most people just let their kids play on them don't they? About all they are good for.

I'd much prefer the Nike+ Fuel Band.
Looks neater (imo) and does all the fitness stuff I'd need as well as sync very well to the iPhone
Oh, and it's about £200.00 cheaper.

I love apple tech but I doubt I'll buy the watch, for one reason only, it's not waterproof.
I very rarely take my watch off, I also swim everyday, the watch would have been handy for that, with all the fitness stuff on there.
Shame I like the idea but for me it's no good.
