Ian Hart still voices the opinion of the majority
And how, exactly, do you know that? How do you know what the "majority" feel? Have you asked everyone?

Because I'll happily tell you that I don't feel my views being echoed by Ian Hart in anyway when he lays into Dick Knight for the umpteenth time and, judging by what some others were saying on here, others feel the same way.

Rochdale, old chap, I am not an employee of the club.
Don't talk shit.

An employee = someone who does a job paid or unpaid for an employer.

So your PA stint is not working for the club then ?

Sorry to be pedantic A but people do see you and rightly so same as Paul Samrah as working for the club.
Your denial of this actually lessens your credibility and why are you so frightened to admit you work for the club ?

I don't think the majority of fans post on here either.

I guess what I am saying is that we will all continue to go come rain or shine, but the ones that won't are the floating fans. These fans, I believe, will listen to the phone in and Harty, and are more likely to share his view than Attilla who starts off by saying he spent last night with Dick Knight. From a distance clearly Attila then becomes someone with inside info who is just relaying what Dick said.

Most of the fans can't have that conversation with Dick, and therefore as Harty is in the same boat, most fans, or certainly the floating ones will have a similar view to his.

Giraffe... I am pretty sure Ernest's post was tongue-in-cheek and you have walked straight into it!

And as MoH said, Ian Hart does not voice my opinion, and I don't doubt Dick Knight.

You know very well that the 'majority' are the ones that are perfectly OK to go along to Cardiff or Wembley and have a jolly up once every 10 years but wouldn't dream of coming along and actually supporting the team when it's needed.

Thast is a bit disingenous mate.

He did start by saying he was at a Falmer For All meeting.

My god, there is a load of BS "talked" on this board. Attila is not DK's lapdog, and never will be, if Attila senses that DK is going down the wrong path, I'm sure he'd speak to him about it.

Also, what is all this crap about Harty "carrying more weight with the fans" , what a load of tosh. I find myself at odds with Harty on a regular basis, as do many if NSC is anything to go by.

Look, at the end of the day DK and DW are Brighton through and through, they are not in it to wreck the club or for personal gain, they are where they are because if you cut them down the middle, you'd see blue and white stripes.

FFS get behind them and show some f***ing backbone

If I were Dick Knight I would be completely fed up of what seems to have been a continual (ie from the second season at Gillingahm through to today) crusade from Ian Hart to undermine his position.

I'm sure Ian believes he is well intentioned and, as he explained on another thread, people were initially thoroughly duped by Archer, Bellotti and Stanley. With that history I think it is felt that a degree of constant probing will keep people on their toes and be in the best interests of the club.

From my position it seems as though Ian's approach has meant there has rarely been a time when we've all pulled in exactly the same direction when at times we've needed to. I rarely get to hear the phone-in but find it difficult to believe that someone in Ian's position can not see the indirect connection between the ongoing battle with LDC and our troubles on the pitch, as others have indicated was a stance taken on Sunday. You simply can not ignore the 'the Falmer situation' when discussing the strength and depth of our squad.

Eh? You haven't answered my question: how do you know that Ian Hart speaks for most Albion fans when you haven't asked them? And why are "floating fans" more likely to listen to the phone-in? I'd have thought exactly the opposite would be the case - what are they listening for, to hear their dulcet tones? Can you blame Dick Knight not to speak to someone who had such a blatant agenda? I'm no mug and I don't.

These people who keep moaning about the most open chairman this and most other football clubs have ever had will one day get rid of him - why act decently and STILL get slated for everything? Then everything will be just fine, won't it? Just like getting rid of McGhee's made everything so much better...

I honestly wonder why DK bothers any more.

actions speak louder than words

especially relating to some of the dross that has come from the Albions mouthpieces (DK,MM etc) in the last 18 months.

Prior to this thread its all doom and gloom, but then Attila has a chat with Dick Knight and suddenly everything is going to be alright. Its from one extreme to the next.

I'll happily back Dick Knight but theres thousands that are not going due to the lack of investment who aren't going to suddenly change their view just because Attila says so.

I'm not having a pop at Attila, just the gullable nature of some Brighton fans.

You simply can not ignore the 'the Falmer situation' when discussing the strength and depth of our squad.

Someone came on the phone in and said that the reason we played so badly ( I think it was aginst Chesterfield) was all LDC's fault and nothing to do with the players. Ian, and to be fair I agreed with him suggested that the fact that hammond missed a tackle in the midfield was not something that could be laid at the door of De Vecci. When players go on the pitch they are not thinking of Falmer ( Most of them will never play there FFS).

The counter argument is that because of LDC, Hammond ( I am only using him as an example and it could be anyone of the players) would not be at the club becuse we would have bought shed loads of players and he wouldnt be in the team.

Again that depends on your point of view and that was the argument Ian and I was suggesting.

On Sunday, Ian came out with the same argument to suggest that as we played so appaulingly that was the fault of the manager and the players, not the circumstances. That can be argued, and that is what the fans phone in is for!!!!!!!

On the other hand, while I am having a pop at the DK detractors I have to defend Harty here. At the end of the day he's working for a radio show that needs listners and callers to keep going. Simply starting each phone in with 'well once again the albion board are simply super' is going to have everyone bored silly in a week.

Don't confuse a need to provoke debate with actual intentions.
